Putting controls on the back of the wheel can work if its just volume up/down + station up/down. But with SYNC, Phone, Mute, etc it would be kinda hard to do. Unless you can read braille while driving.

Also, I hate the steering wheel radio controls- the buttons are big, ugly and dual-layered?!? Isn't this for the year 2009 and not 1989?

I doubt many will agree with you. I certainly don't. I've been waiting for controls on the steering wheel.

Now they are just moving it back

I never cared. the gauge is there, don't care if I have to look left or right to see either.
I never really cared which side the speedo was on once I got used to it after I first got it. Once I get back into my Mustang after the hail damage repairs I will probably have to readjust to which side to look. For the past three weeks I have been driving my 05 Cavalier which has the speedo on the left. I guess it is going to feel like getting a new car again when I do get my car back because I do miss the Mustang so much.

Good catch, I didn't even see the 120. Emblem could be anything. These are protos, so something as simple as a stick on emblem can be changed, But I agree, i doubt this is a GT500 if the speedo only goes to 120

Probably an upgraded interior though. I just can't see ford leather wrapping everything without uping the price considerably.

why would that be? aftermarket makers have figured out how to build defosters, i'm sure they could manage antenna too.

Same, and there better be a **** trunk release button somewhere in the cabin.

I can't imagine SYNC being usable in a convertible. Add Flowmasters and you won't hear anything. I can't hear or feel my phone ring now.

I'm a little more encouraged by these pics. The interior definitely shows big signs of improvements. I too am very delighted by the controls on the wheel. The front of the car doesn't scare me at all, it looks like they've done a nice job there. My big concerns are in the back. I haven't seen a spy shot yet that I like at all from the rear. These are no different.
