The 99-04 looks like the 94-98 on steroids, which is a lot more pleasing to the eye to me.

Where as the 99-04, had much sharper edged lines/curves and was by far, more aggressive looking, just as a muscle car should be !

I think the 99-04 is more pleasing now since we have acclimated to sharper lines and less rounded looks. Anything from the 1990's that was rounded and bubbly looks dated to me now.

Shelby Model (GT350)
Will not have the same headlight bezels as the V6/GT. It will have stand-alone units with separate
parking/turn units inside unique pulled forward grille and outer flanks.
Shelby may be first with the Ecoboost.

Seeing the mule mockup of that with the ambers on the inside of the grille..
Looks...weird...
Will have to see the final product to see what it really looks like as a package.

With that aggressive nose on the Shelby those grille mounted turn lights looks like something they had to do so they would be visibly compliant at certain angles for lighting standards.
Anyway, the new front ends are starting to remind me of all the angry and ugly looking styling proposals that were rejected in the late 60's and early 70's. The 2010 Shelby give a new meaning to cowcatcher...
One thing I noted about the current Mustangs is the completely inadequate front bumper beam behind the front fascia. The bumper beam does not extend all the way across under the headlamps where the turn signal lights are located. I suspect one reason the turn lamps were moved could be to fill this area with a wider front impact beam to minimize front end damage. A minor impact on the front corners will certainly distroy a headlight and front fender easily.
