Need more advice
I got an offer from a well known exhaust company, that just happens to be semi-local to where I live (about an hours drive). Theyd like to use my car, as the test mule, to mock up there production systems for a couple catbacks and a midpipe. From my understandings, anything they test I would have my pick to keep. They would also be renting me out a 2010 mustang to drive in the meantime.
Only down part 1 month without the car
that was expressed to be a estimate, but very accurate. Idk im kinda torn, Im very protective of my car (id worry about anyone driving it etc) but i would atleast have a stang to drive in the meantime, if they would have said toyota I woulda known something was up
So what to do, what to do

a month seems like a long time, during that month there are probably only a few hours when they actually need the car, the rest of the time it will (or should) be just sitting there waiting . . . would it be practical for you to drive back and forth to bring it to them when they actually need it?
it will probably go something like this:
1) take measurements -- 1 hour (need car)
2) fabricate first prototype -- 1 week (don't need car)
3) test fit prototype -- 1 hour (need car)
4) modify prototype -- 1 week (don't need car)
5) test fit modified prototype -- 1 hour (need car)
6) dyno test -- 1 hour (need car)
7) make a new prototype -- 1 week (don't need car)
etc. etc. etc.
Maybe the schedule just isn't predictable enough for it to be practical for you to bring the car when they need it . . . just a thought . . .

Had the day to think clearly on this one, I think the simple con of not having my car, or some stranger(s) doing who knows what with it, made me decide no. Ty for the replies as most seemed to agree

A month is excessive.
I made the same deal with dynomax and the only need my car for 8 hours
4 to remove the old. Generate CAD data from it and re-install stock (complete)
Then after fab is complete 4 hours to test fit new exhaust. (waiting on fab)

It sounds tempting but I agree with what everyone else has said. I wouldn't want my car in someone else's possession for a month. Now if Xzibit were to pimp yo' ride that would be a whole other story!...
