NEED HALP ASAP, Steeda Tune :-(

I placed a order with Steeda for there CAI and SCT tuner with a preloaded 93 tune. I just got done installing everything and of coarse its after hours and there closed and SCT also. Anyways I ordered the tuner from Steeda preloaded with a tun to my mods so I plugged it in and acordiong to the instructions I selected Strategy tune, well that was not the right choice ? I selected the custom tune and went the the instructions of loading the tune by turning the key on the off like it says and then I get a error message ERROR 1002 Can't Open File, WTF ? Did Steeda forget to program the tuner ?

I never got to do anything, it can not find the file to start the upload. I did drive the car, it has a rough idle for a minute or two then runs fine. I went for a ride for several miles and the car seems to run fine and no check engine light. I don't want to have to reinstall my old intake until I get this tuner figured out.

Sounds to me like custom tune needs to be reloaded into the SCT device.

I just responded to your post on SVT forum ... I believe you spoke to our reps this morning and they were able to send you an updated tune, correct?

Please let me know if there is anything else we can do for you?

Best Regards,

TJ

Tj... why was my issue handled so poorly? Seems you worked to resolve his issue but I got left footing the bill at the dealer to get my car retuned... then I simply asked to get the programmer fixed and I was told I had to pay the unlock fee to get it fixed?

I'm confused... yalls tuner messed my car up. Y'all attempt to fix it thru my PC. The tuner still wouldn't program my car and left it in programming mode where it wouldn't run. I then was given the choice of waiting a while and paying y'all your fee to reprogram it after I ship it to you. Or go to the dealer and pay to get the car retuned...
Maybe you can fix my programmer that now rests on my bottom shelf? Car was tuned at my local dealer so it runs now... but I'm left with this expensive programmer that can't do anything but screw up pcms.

Any help would be appreciated. The programmer (when properly working) was great.

Also. Didn't mean to threadjack

Send me an email at tim @ steeda.com so that I can look into what had taken place. Please provide your purchase date, the issues you were experiencing, etc.

Was this an issue with an SCT? SCT resolved the OP's issue and we just needed to send him a new tune.

I will help in any way I can.

Best Regards,

TJ
