Need FAST help please regarding MT82 clutch line swap
My cousin and I just swapped clutch lines on my 2014 GT. It was a real pain trying to get at the part underneath the car. While we were taking the old line out from the transmission end, there was a black circular clip kind of thing that was flush against the transmission where the clutch line enters it. The clip came partially out, to the point we can't get it back in due to the little fingers or whatever you call them not fitting back in. The line is clipped in and secure at both ends. I've pumped the clutch about 250 times by hand and it's building pressure as there are no leaks. What I need to know is if anyone can identify this piece and if so, is it a problem that it is not seated flush like it originally was?
Here's the piece:

And here is how it was fitting originally:

When I had my tranny out I remember that little black fitting having a really odd type of fit/interface with the trans.
It was a really loose fit on mine and would flop between being seated and not seated.
Good thing is all it is doing is providing a little extra support for the rigid line that you already connected the clutch line to.
Also it kind of holds the fitting in place so when you push the clutch line on you don't bend the rigid line into the bell housing.
If you got the line connected, got the retaining clip in, and have no leaks I think you're fine leaving it as-is.
