Page 24 has a photo of Earl Lucas in a Ford Design studio and the pics behind him may show the concept of the 2010 Mustang........If this is old news I'm sorry!!! I just spotted it on my 2nd time through the magazine!

Looks like an early concept. It's an interesting design.

it appears that this is just a result of the enlargement of the original drawing, however, i do like the apparent accent that seems to combine what would normally be the hockystick accent with the hip (hop up, haunch, beltline, betty boop, whatever name you want to give to it) creating one long line that starts with the deckline and runs down the car to end behind the front tire.
it creates a nice break to the side of the car breaking it up into a nicely defined short deck and rear fender line and a long hoodline that extends back through the passenger compartment, a new look to the car that might be nice to explore a bit design-wise.

oh and just what is the car design over the lucas' other (left) shoulder? any clues? cant seem to match it to anything out or that has been rumored to be coming out.

 

I got my copy of My Ford yesterday and noticed the Mustang sketch too. It sort of comes off with mid-engine looking proportions in the rear.

 

I guess we shall see soon!!!

 

I have friend who works for the government and goes to Charlotte and Michigan alot, while in Michigan his last trip he went to the Roush facilities where they actually showed him a 2010 model they were working on. When I asked about the car pretty much all he could tell me is the car will have hips. Obviously they would not allow pictures but he did like what he saw.

I saw that the 1st day I got my mag in the mail. I was wondering how many of you would catch on to that. Cool!
I would not be surprised if we see some crazy/extreme looking Mustang in a year or two at the Detroit Auto Show. Something for us to get all excited about before the 50th Ann. Redesign.
