Just an opinion, but why not wait until 2011 and get the better engine?

Good for you, hope things work out.

Grabber Blue huh? I hope Ford ends up offering that color, because at this point, we don't even know if they will!

Oh Boy here we go again, Dealers making all kinds of promises and taking money from customers. Mine was the 3rd one ordered and I got it one week after the first guy got his at the dealership. Save your money and wait till the order forms come out and do it right. A friend of mine already has been getting the run around fromhis chevy dealer on the new camaro coming out. It just isn't worth it

Congrats but this is reminding me too much of what happened when the 05's were being released and dealers were taking deposits before any pricing/options were made public. I know it is a small dealership but you are number 54 on the list (if I read that right). That seems like a lot of cars for them to be getting of the 2010 model.

He also mentioned that the list is for three stores and he has purchased 15 mustangs from them in the last 30 years.

I would have waited until I heard more info about when the 5.0 would be offered.

This is correct and Frank will be OK I am sure. Just everyone else should be careful if you don't know your dealer or have a good relationship with them. Mine was the 3rd delivered in 04 to my dealership and he told me I was 3rd and what his alotment was each month and what holds might be on certain options etc....I can't wait to see the 2010s but will wait for the new 5.0 and SE for my next one.

53 people paid $500 for a chance to get a car they havent even seen yet?!? Why do I feel that this is going to be 2004 all over again, and the bulk of these get immediately resold for over the MSRP due to the demand

Don't worried my $500.00 goes down has down payment. After the car comes in.

But thats my point. Youve never seen this car, youve never sat in this car, youve never driven this car. What happens if the 2010 ends up being another Mustang II? You going to buy it at full price minus the $500?

Spy photos seem to indicate styling that does not resemble the Mustang II (of which some people are fans)

I've never wanted a car that quickly, that badly I wait until the model year is over and pick up a leftover.
