Is Mustang Leather "coated" or "naked"?

Not sure whether to use 303 Aerospace protectant or Pinnacle leather conditioner...

^This link explains the difference. I'm guessing it's "coated" leather.

I use 303 for my leather seats, since its a convertible, I use it once per month. I also use it on the convertible top.

I had this very same question when purchasing detailing supplies. I consulted AutoGeek and they said nearly all new cars have coated leather. Naked leather is too susceptible to stains. They said Pinnacle will work just fine on coated leather. With that said, I use 303 to keep the leather protected, then I use Pinnacle leather conditioner every five or six months. Conditioner is probably not necessary. If I only used one product on my seats it would be 303. It is one of my favorite detailing products.

Clean: Damp (water) microfiber towel
Protect: 303
Condition: Pinnacle

Armor All uses a silicone base which is how it achieves that ridiculous shine. Water based products like 303 Aerospace Protectant or Vinylex are a better choice as they won't cause build up over the years. 303 also contains a UV agent to prevent sun damage.

Thanx for that! I've always heard Euro leather was better but thought it was just marketing bs. I wonder if that's why American 'leather' seats crinkle over time. None of my leather saddles or chaps crinkle like that and they're much older, more abused and only get treated with saddle soap then Lexol.

As far as coats/clothing, I've heard Euro leather costs more because it is without blemishes because of no barbed wire. In America where barbed wire is prevalent, a cow getting spiked by a barb makes a permanent mark.

What would be the equivalent of that 303 stuff, we don't have it over here. Just regular leather conditioner ala Armoral, Mothers. etc.

I don't have 303 locally either, I have to order it online. I'm sure there's a vendor in Canada that carries it. If you don't get 303 I'd go with a Lexol product like Vinylex. All major auto chains carry Lexol in the states. Vinylex is good on vinyl/rubber/plastic. They also sell some stuff specifically for leather. Our "leather" seats are half vinyl though so it should be safe.
