Rebate Stays but Financing Gets Worse

As of this morning through 07/06/2010 the $500 rebate has been extended but the finance rates are now 2.9/3.9/4.9/6.9% for 36/48/60/72 months. These are applicable to both the V6 and GT.

Thanks, Paul.

That sucks. Gonna cost me $1300 more for the car IF I buy it now.

How does one know if they are eligible for the Promotional Retail Bonus Customer Cash? Will Vincent show the dealer?

This a bummer. After many months of being excited about this car, I've lost my enthusiasm. I got excited about 0% financing, now that's gone. I got excited when I read about the $750 brochure rebate. I signed up for the brochure under five different variations of my and my wife's names and every one has been a dud. My car was built almost seven weeks ago and Ford still can't tell my dealer when they will ship it.

I know that in the big picture, this stuff isn't worth complaining about. Most of the world's population will never even get to sit in a car this awesome, much less own one. The richest king in the world 100 years ago couldn't have had anything like this. Nevertheless, at his moment I'm feeling pretty disappointed.

You ordered your car when there was $0 in rebates and no special finance offers and you were satisfied with the pricing. Now there is a $500 rebate so your deal is better be happy. I know the wait sucks but the price is better so it shouldn't be all bad.

I was lucky my car came in and i got the 750 coupon and 500 rebate. If i did not get the discounts it would not have stopped me from getting the car as it was not available when i ordered. I thought the 300 under invoice was good enough so the rebates were just icing on the cake but would not have effected my decision.

You're exactly right. I'm feeling a little down today but I'll get over it.

It looks like Ford has placed a hold on all new 2011 Mustangs for a non safety reason. Mine was on a truck ready to come down here and it got pulled off and sent back to the Factory. Looks like it might be a while before I get mine.

HokeyCodeMonkey also got that message from Ford CS.

Not sure where Falchion got it; the whole part about on the truck/off the truck is a little annoying. It's like Lucy taking the football off the ground when Charlie Brown tries to kick it. . .

I meant his specific case. Does he know for sure it was literally on a truck then unloaded? And I am not buying this "all 5.0's on hold" nonsense because like I said earlier, dozens have gotten their 5.0's in the past week. Unless this hold started TODAY.

It's highly suspicious just to see one pulled off a truck at the last moment so suddenly and then sent back to the factory. I usually ignore these hold reports and dismiss them as rumor, but hearing now about the one guy whose car got scrapped along with 16 others, along with another car getting literally pulled off the truck it was just loaded onto and sent back to the factory strongly suggests that this hold is real.

I apologize if this is too much conspiracy theory, but if I were to hazard a guess, maybe it has something to do with the clutch issues some have been reporting.
