Will this tranny mate up to the 4.6 without much hastle? My car has minor tranny problems (grinds between 1-2 on redline shifts) and I'm not a fan of the 2011. I plan to have a local motor builder build me a 5.0 in a couple of years once the aftermarket comes around for the new motor.

I wouldn't bet on it being an "easy bolt-on." If your motor guy is good, and you can get your hands on one at the same time as he's building you a 5.0, its maybe possible.

My concern is with its strength. The 5.0 article said it was rated at 375tq, which must be a typo since the Coyote is rated at 390tq. -- right?

Transmission torque ratings are nebulous at best since you need to have an idea of what sort of vehicle weight and traction they had in mind when rating that transmission.
