With regular driving, the car gets 25-26 mpg; stop & go etc. With spirited driving, 23 mpg.

Empirical evidence has proven that The Steeda 93 tune/ cai and base 4 synthetic oil had made the car significantly more efficient than stock.
"Same conditions" being the key there. I just took your first post as implying that 29 mpgs is something that you can get all the time under normal driving conditions. I understand now that you were just pointing out what it got on that short trip.

That being said, the reason I suggested the 1000 mile, multiple tank full, scenarios is because I see so many people post that they get "XX.X" mpg and don't really quantify it with any long term parameters (usually when boasting of high mpgs). A while back I took mine on a 60+ mile trip and reset the meter when I left and got 24 mpg. However, I haven't reset it in about 2K miles currently and its hovering in the high 15s.

I average 31.8 mpg on a flat highway at a steady 70mph.

Who cares, were all paying too much at the pumps even if we do pussyfoot the pedal. It's better to just not think about it. Ha

Depending on when I hit the reset button on the MPG display, I can make it read anywhere from 85mpg to 0.4mpg.

OP, I don't understand why I should be eating my heart out. It's not like my MPGs went down to compensate for yours going up; I get those numbers (and higher) out of every tank. What does impress me is that you've discovered and used some techniques that enable you to maximize your fuel economy when you choose to, plus you've got all that V8 HP and torque at your disposal when you feel like saying "MPG be d***ed, I'm gonna mash the big pedal!" It's all up to you, pal-- drive it in good health and enjoy Miss Kona Blue.
