The original owner already sold it

He got enough to pay it off and get another Boss cash

He was a member here right? And accidentally bought it haha. Poor guy, just wanted a Boss he could drive and not worry about.

I've got to get the rest of this story, how do you accidentally buy a car??

IIRC, he went to buy a Boss and the dealer had no idea it was 0001. He made his deal, and went off with it. He didn't realize it was THE #1 until he got home, then got all kinds of huge offers for it, but said he ultimately just wanted a drivable Boss that he didn't have to worry about. I want to say he traded another owner for #333 or something like that, and then ended up selling that too.

Last Boss? I doubt that. There will be more made. They make too much money for Ford.

I don't know why anyone would want #1. I'd rather have the last car made for that model year because they are constantly tweaking the cars.

#1 carries a "collector's premium" in the after-market. Most of those cars are never driven ......more like "expensive stamp collecting." Not my thing, but a lot of people do it.
