I wonder if it give more trunk room or increases the interior room. I mean the way it sticks out like that.

I don't think is sticks out any further than before, it just appears to with the chamfered corners.

I have to agree that an otherwise excellent design looks terrible once you see it from the back... thankfully the Mustang has a reliable aftermarket that will provide other (hopefully better) options.

Early to mid '70's in my estimation -- '71-'73 Stang, then the lamentable Mustang II -- but yeah, it seems like smooth, flashy, styling over a leaner, meaner, more purposeful look of earlier ('64-'68, '69-'70 fastbacks) Mustangs. While the '10 is certainly more refined in the execution of its craftsmanship and materials, which I certainly applaud, it seems to have come at some cost to the character, looking a bit more committee car than a singular vision of a designer.

Now if Toyota would only do a Supra inspired by the 2000 GT, wow!

i have been staring at the 2010 stangs *** for a long time now trying to figure out what angle it would look good at... i just dont see it growing on me. it just looks wrong the way the corners are cut off not to mention the 9 inch plastic on the bumper and the funny shaped tail lights, and the fact that from far away the tail lights look like spaced out teeth instead of dividers. i will tell you this... the front of the v6 mustang looks amazing. and that is all...

This has just become very juvenile. Have you seen the car in person? Burn alive?

The chief engineer cannot fire designers. He only approves the $ so they design can be done as close to what the designers wanted.

The designers in charge of this car brought you the last three Mustangs- 1999, and 2005, and 2007 GT500, as well as the Shelby GR-1 and Ford GT. And because you don't like some shape of the tailamps you say burn them alive?

As soon as you have a better rear end design for the car then let's talk. Otherwise, keep your current Mustang or go buy a used 2005-09 one.

Now you are just being a *******!
Why is it so hard for you to understand that the rear of the 10’ is just plain UGLY and not everyone is going to like it?
Because I don’t like the looks of the car and my opinion differs from yours then I am one of those individuals that are never satisfied huh?
I am very satisfied with my 07; I just would like to explore the option of a 2011 for the interior and the possibility of the 5.0, but the hideous rear and crappy black plastic makes the car very unattractive.
I am however hoping for a change of events over the next year or so.

Get over yourself, it is meant as a joke out of frustration for a ****ty design.

well hopefully ford will change that black bottom rear

to a body color or some other design for 2011.. if they dont look for many kits for that rear...i remember when i first saw the 05 compared to the 04 i was like "wow" but this design really doesn't really excite me like the 05
