Man, I Really Wish the Rear of the 2010 Would be Different
People are getting what they wanted. The didnt want such a square looking rear end so ford rounded it off and added more styling. I guess you just cant please some people. I for one think the rear goes well with this car.
People have asked ford to change things with this car but yet people cant accept the change. Dont ask for things to be changed if your just going to bash it.

+1, the car looks great, quality is up, we did get more HP(shut up I know), more technology and on and on....I guess I am old enough to just be glad Ford invested money in the dam thing to begin with, with the current economic situation they could have just stayed with the now old S197 design, or just killed the car altogether. We need to be happy with what we have folks.
Yeah the 67-70 Toyota 2000 GT's were Beautiful but Very Expensive and Complicated Cars. They can Range easily into the $100's of Thousands of Dollars today if You can find one for sale.
The Most Famous 2000 GT was a Convertible Conversion (As Toyota Actually Never Built a Convertible) Driven in the James Bond Film "You Only Live Twice." driven by Akiko Wakabayashi as she burst onto the scene to rescue Sean Connery's Bond. Between 1967 and 1970, there were only 371 Toyota 2000GT's sold. That and the Bond connection have led pristine examples to sell for between $300,000 and $350,000.

since when has this become a toyota forum.

EXACTLY!!! well said! Ford could have just left everything alone for 2010 but instead ford had there mind set on numerous things that we asked for. althought i dont think they would have the thought of killing the car altogether. But hey, be happy with what we have. More good things to come, just remember that!
Because this is a Mustang forum and in a Mustang forum we discuss all things about Mustangs; including what we like and dislike.
This thread is good because it lets me know if there are others that feel the way that I do.
Personally I pretty much despise the rear of the new car; it makes me want to vomit.
Couple the rear with the cheap and cheesy black plastic and it makes me VERY disappointed in the new style.
It is a shame too because there are many things that I like about the car, but I do not know if I can get over the things that I dislike to make me want to buy it.

people have asked for a more rounded off rear end with more styling so thats what we got
That is absolutely horrendous to look at.
If I was the chief engineer I would have fired whoever came up with the design of the rear and burn alive the person that designed those taillights.

Not the entire car no, but when that one cue overshadows the rest of the car then there is a problem.
I am waiting to see what happens with the 5.0 and by that time maybe some things will change.
Maybe something aftermarket will look good or perhaps a better look from Roush.
