Question

How much of a difference is there between the street and competition setup? Would the competition exhaust be too loud at crusing speeds?

Dont look at the prices on the site LOL. You should be able to get them at 40-50% less. I had the same thoughts when I bought for the 08 Bullitt.....hopefully these will be on the 5.0 longer than the day they were on the Bullitt.

O and I went without the x pipe for now. I really like the sounds of Ford H pipes the last few years and the performance difference is worth it for me. Im not building a race car just a street car!

Street (5x8x14) Mufflers should be a bit quieter than the Competition kits.
I haven't noticed the kits they renamed, must be coz I've not installed anything for quiet sometime now. Can you post what all they've renamed? Thanks.

I know you guys are mainly talking about exhaust for the 2011 5.0 . . . . but . . . .

Suggestions for 2010 4.6, preferably a simple mufflers-back swap?

I want deep / bassie (sp?) sound, just a little louder than the stock exhaust but not so loud as to wake the neighbors all the time.

thanks for thoughts / suggestions!

OK ok ok, ill take some soundclips today, I can get all of the hints

My system is the comp catback and the tru-flo X (clamps on right behind the cats) so all 3 inch back. I also was able to get a bit of a break on the pricing although I would never refer to it as cheap. I was told the reason the prices are so high is because they were the first on the market, so theres nothing to really base it off of, and theres no competition to drive prices down yet.

Gimme a few hours to get my lazy tail up and get some battery for the camera, cant blame a guy finally got a day off, im sleeping in lol

We will have all 3 of our sound options for the 5.0L released next week. "Touring", "S-Type" and the patented "ATAK". There will also be a video released next week that shows the difference between the 3 options. The 5.0L motor is completely different from the previous Mustang and is required a radically different muffler design. We went through 18 different muffler designs in order to get the right 3 sound levels. They sound great and we are really proud of what we were able to do. I can't wait for you guys to hear them. Thanks for your interest!

My memory is getting a little worse these days but I could swear I saw the comp series axleback
available back when I ordered my exhaust.

I know they have the muffler delete with the same name, but this was the same mufflers in the comp series catback.

I'm probably wrong but not sure.I'm thrilled with my comp series catback #15590 and x-pipe with cats#16399.Combined with the Steeda CAI/tune my car roars like a **** and sounds incredible.

for what its worth, i have the 3 inch comp exhaust and it sounds amazing. not too loud, not drony, but loud enough to know somethings there.
