made some changes..

as the title says..

on my order placed in early feb. ( retail )
car was fully loaded black with 401( blue ) and all options except nav and glass options.

after talking to my dealer foun out i could still make changes..
the order is not pulled yet only a tracking number assigned.

after seeing pics of the 2011 i decided to drop exterior styling pakage group 5 ( thought everything looked like it was stuck on with 3M tape ), and 401a, and get the electronics pakage instead.

changed the color to sterling grey (gray? depending where you live)
with OTT stirpes.

total price 37,357 on x-plan..

here is a link to what it will look like.. (rims as as close to the brembo's as i could find)

http://www.fordvehicles.com/mustang/...rview/No232952

just curious what everyone thinks.

so if anyone wants to make any last minute changes to your car you ordered as long as you dont have a VIN you can.

I like your changes much better than original car. The ONLY accessory I like in the appearance package is the pedestal spoiler. I think the other stuff is cheesy. I would have ordered a 2011 with same options are yours.. but Saddle Interior instead.

I like the Pedestal Spoiler too, but you can't get it w/o the Hood Scoop which to me just looks silly on top of the new for '10 domed hood. On a flat 05-09 hood that scoop would maybe look ok.

The Pedestal Rear spoiler is a $335 option on 2010 Mustangs .... you don't need a package to get it.

to be honest when i first saw them on the fordvehicles website it looked like it was an actual hood.

but after seeing pics and reading about the 10's i saw that its just " drilled through and stuck on" after looking closer to other pics i noticed the side scoops looked the same way. what really was the last straw is the arent even semi functional like onthe SN-95s which were THROUGH the 1/4 panel.

so made the changes - $1200 option.. added $2000 option.. almost went with glass roof instead, but figured the eletronics pak. more functional, esp on trips.

It's funny you mention this; I took a trip to my local ford dealer on my lunch break today.... just walked right out back, and found a car with the accessory package. Must have stared at it for about 30 minutes trying to decide if I still wanted it on my order. If I had any time at all today, I probably would have called / emailed Jeff to ask him to take it off the order.

Pony: None of it is functional. The scoops don't cool the brakes, the hood scoop doesn't ventilate the engine any more than stock. In the end, you wind up with more holes in your bodywork than it's worth. The louvers are pretty flimsy to the touch, and in my opinion will only make it that much harder to keep the car clean. I like the "clean" look, and I like functional additions to the car. Don't get me wrong; I love the way it looks. If they had incorporated those designs into the stock vehicle and made the functional, they'd be great. But they call it an "appearance package" for a reason...
