2012 model? Otherwise I don't know how else this would be possible in the Mustang.

Looks like a prototype pic that never came to fruition.

If you look at the stock (non-Nav) display in bright sunlight, you can see where there is potential functionality to display driver & passenger temperature and fan settings & a few other climate ditties. This means it's just a matter of very little additional hardware (and no dash alteration) and there easily could be digital auto-climate without a Nav screen.

Definitely a peeve it's not there for 2011, but then again I shift my own gears too.

Hope you're right, cuz i'd be really pissed. I was hoping this would be a standard feature with premium package on the Mustang like in my Escape.
Didn't want to pay for nav just to get dual climate control.

I noticed it also does not have the SYNC emblem on the console. Old prototype possibly.

The Auto Climate feature is probably locked away in the same drawer with the Homelink visors

That is one of the early pic's from the 2010 release, back in 2009..... It is a shame Ford doesn't offer the Climate Control A/C without Nav. I know quite a few people who have no use for Nav, that would like the Auto Air, and since it's not controlled by the Nav Head Unit, it would seem to be an easy option.

I don't really care for dual climate control myself, but I had auto temperature control in a Cadillac I owned a few years ago and it was awesome to just set a temperature and let it do it's thing.

FWIW, HomeLink is coming in '12. EATC w/o Nav, not so much though...

I can't believe that any vehicle with a sticker price around 30k in 2010 doesn't come with Automatic Temperature control as a standard feature. With the price of these Mustangs approaching almost 40k, there is absolutely no excuse for it not to be. The only exception would be a special purpose car such as the Boss, given its nature. Beyond that it is cheap cost cutting, and for any manufacturer to produce a vehicle without it is absolutely ridiculous.

Ditto....my 2011 Escape Limited has auto climate control w/o nav, but my 2011 Premium GT which cost $15K MORE can't be equipped that way.

The Escape seat heaters work much better, also.
