Exactly, especially a new Camaro SS! I'm also wondering how they would afford the insurance? How much would insurance be on a new SS for a high school kid? It's got to be astronomical, even if he's on the parent's insurance.
And if the parents did buy the kid the SS, which is likely, what does that say about them? Sure, any kid would LOVE that, but it seems to be asking for trouble, or worse...

Yeah, your right, I was letting it get to me. Sorry guys, but now I am just happy to have my Mustang and basically be able to drive at all. I am gonna try and see if the kid with the SS camaro will show me whats under the hood, cus I know he is lying about having a super charger, that thing was dead quiet idling when I walked around it and driving in the parking lot.
Anyways, Mustang>Camaro - everyday, all day, heavy not small pay. (to quote zro)

My high school car is in my sig. Paid $5500 cash freshman year of high school for it.
Had a guy here at my local college get a new SS for graduation. Next thing I know I see it on Ebay with the front end smashed and the suspension broken. Heard he wrecked it on campus during the first semester, and we have 25 mph speed limits.

Plus, I have 305HP on the hood of my car, most people know, plus it doesn't say Boss 302 on it.
I liked the fact that my car was a throw back to the Boss, plus the fact of the saying that us kids say "like a boss", so thats why I got my car, not to be a fake 2012 Boss 302... As you can sort of tell, my car and the 2012 Boss 302, look nothing alike. So, yeah, once again, just sayin'...

i go to lots of mustang meets, everyone is really chill and just happy to see a 16 year old who loves and takes care of his Mustang. some people ask whats under the hood and when i say its a v6, they don't get pi$$ed off like all you guys do. I never once have said to anyone that there is a V8 under the hood, meh.
@ yes, my "boss". thanks for that.

He replied, "Once I get off probation for my speeding tickets, you and me need to race" I said "I don't care if your faster, my car is fast enough for me, I don't have anything to prove to you or your camaro".
Later on in class I asked what his specs were, and he said that "it's got a super charger and it has after market rims and a sweet body kit" I asked what company made his s/c and he was like "oh I don't know". Hmmmm, thats funny, his rims are GM Factory option rims, and that sweet body kit is just the GM appearance package. Also, yesterday I walked around his Camaro twice while he was stopped at the light in front of our hang out spot, that car was dead quiet, even when he took off and again when he was driving in the parking lot.
That thing is a stock Camaro SS, with temporary dealer plates, no dealership around San Antonio puts performance parts on their Camaro's, I know that for a fact.
This is too funny, I am in love with my V6 more than anything, that Camaro just made me love it more. This kid that is getting a Camaro in a few weeks actually told me "F*** that kids camaro, your car is beautiful, I don't care whats under the hood. Don't change a thing on it, It's gorgeous." That meant a lot to me,
Also, both our parents bought us our Muscle cars, so it really isn't something we can brag about, so why bother. His dad bought him a Camaro, mine bought me a Mustang, if my parents wanted to have their kid dead they could have bought him a Corvette, its not like they can't afford it.

The car I drove to school was a 96 Honda del sol with 220,000+ miles on it that I paid 2 grand for out of my own pocket... You have a beautiful mustang I would have happily driven your car to school. Be proud of it.
