lol at highschool

So, some kid at my school just got a 2010 or 2011 Camaro SS. It's black with some kinda gay rims and ugly rear exhaust accents. Apparently this makes my car a total piece of ****, and everyone says I am jealous of it.

LOL, yeah, I like that Camaro, it's pretty nice, but I absolutely LOVE my Mustang, even if it was 100 HP less.

Just posted this on here, for no real reason. High school is so stupid at times.

Couldn't of said it better it's funny how kids say stuff like that.

Sounds like he has the hottest car in School.

I'd have been jealous back in HS.

Yea, who cares what other kids are saying. You won't even see 95% of them a couple years from now. Enjoy your car.

Naa... because of Facebook, you'll be stuck with these highschool clowns forever.

Deal with it head on. Find a deserted back road, line them up and show him whose daddy bought them the faster car!

noooo, he does not.
mine.

his.

I'd rather have looks than power any day,

It would be interesting how big of a lead he would have on me in a race though.

High School is a joke when it comes to kids and cars.... My high school and surrounding high schools ruined any decent car meet except for the few private ones.. ( Anyone in the Spring area of Houston will tell you. )

Just move on and don't worry about it.
Life is so much smoother not worrying about high school drama...

If you're worried about what others say about your car or what other people think of you, you'll never have any money, because you'll always try to impress them.

There's a great song I heard on the radio once called, "High School Never Ends". The lyrics were hilarious and there was more than a grain of truth to it. In many ways the pettiness, the clique-iness, the snobbery, the stupidity, etc, all perpetuates thru the adult world too just in subtley different ways.

Well put and sadly... it's true.
I think that what goes on in highschool is fairly harmless most of the time. There are legitimate jerks with serious problems starting to crop up at these ages but for the most part, personalities are in flux and people can still grow and become kinder, wiser, friendlier people.

This kind of stuff happening in the adult world is at an entirely different level. Bigotry, political entrenchment, petty jealousy, competition, religious entrenchment, etc. go much deeper...and the liklihood of growing out of it is slimmer.

So...now is the time to be the bigger person. The Camaro guy is obviously into cars. You guys probably have a lot in common. Go chat with him, see if you can get a ride. You'll have a lot more fun.

Pics of the Camaro? I do like the SS with the RS package, but not with the goofy tack-on accessories that GM offers with them.

I'd take an SS 'mero over a v6 mustang any day of the week, and I can bet most of the kids in your high school feel the same.

That's why I believe he has the hottest car in HS, making his get more attention than yours.

I'm going to assume that you both have cars that most of the other kids would die for. Is his hotter... sure it is. But it really doesn't matter at some school a kid's dad bought a corvette for him. Some other kid actually has a porsche 911 cabriolet. Ultimately it doesn't matter, you have a great car. Enjoy it. Give him his props and try to take the jealously that other kids have towards both of you with a grain of salt.

I was just happy to have A car in highschool, and it wasn't a brand new Mustang or Camaro.

Agreed. I drove a 95 Chrysler town and country for a year and a half when I turned 16
