Dude i got an 02 gt i saved up and bought with my own money. I make the payments and evrything and im a senior in high school. First v8 mustang in the parkong lot and my friends were always askon for rides. Then a vette showed up, porsche 911, sick jeeps, and a freakin gt-r! All bought with daddys money tho so i didnt worry bout em. Just be proud of what you got and k ow that those guys will prolly never afford somethin like that on their own(:
One guy in college got a new GT500 when I got my 07.
When you get it yourself it is so much better than what your parents give you. Granted I took the 07 my parents got me no problem.

I drove a brand new 2005 Mustang Gt.
There were guys at school that drove new BMW's and s500's. We all use to get along though. My friend whose 24 just bought a ZR1.
Anytime he says anything about your power train mention his UGLY exterior and that dreadful interior and when he talks about how much power he has tell him if he wanted speed he should've bought a Mustang.

Back in high school I drove a "rusty but trusty" 1988 ford bronco full size with about 240,000 miles on that old dog of a 302 and I loved every minute of it, it may not have been the coolest car at school but I sure though it was, but a brand new muscle car it was not that for sure

So, apparently the kid is in my 2nd period class. I was talking about how sick the camaro was, and saying it was really nice, then he turned around and was like, "yeah its mine". I said, wow, your car is nice. Then he said, "yeah its got 505 horsepower, your Mustang doesn't stand a chance." I just said "Thats cool, I don't have anything to prove to you or your Camaro". He replied, "Once I get off probation for my speeding tickets, you and me need to race" I said "I don't care if your faster, my car is fast enough for me, I don't have anything to prove to you or your camaro".
Later on in class I asked what his specs were, and he said that "it's got a super charger and it has after market rims and a sweet body kit" I asked what company made his s/c and he was like "oh I don't know". Hmmmm, thats funny, his rims are GM Factory option rims, and that sweet body kit is just the GM appearance package. Also, yesterday I walked around his Camaro twice while he was stopped at the light in front of our hang out spot, that car was dead quiet, even when he took off and again when he was driving in the parking lot.
That thing is a stock Camaro SS, with temporary dealer plates, no dealership around San Antonio puts performance parts on their Camaro's, I know that for a fact.
This is too funny, I am in love with my V6 more than anything, that Camaro just made me love it more. This kid that is getting a Camaro in a few weeks actually told me "F*** that kids camaro, your car is beautiful, I don't care whats under the hood. Don't change a thing on it, It's gorgeous." That meant a lot to me,
Also, both our parents bought us our Muscle cars, so it really isn't something we can brag about, so why bother. His dad bought him a Camaro, mine bought me a Mustang, if my parents wanted to have their kid dead they could have bought him a Corvette, its not like they can't afford it.

to you and to the other kid's parents - probation for speeding tickets and he's still driving the car?

I drove a 93 Chevy Cheyenne single cab. We hardly had cars in Oklahoma. Thought it was the sweetest truck in town. It wasn't but I thought it was great. Drove it through a few years of college. Before that my mom drove me to school in a 81 Buick Regal Sedan V6. Ran on about 3 of them. The muffler fell off in front of my school, my mom asked me to get out and put the muffler in the back seat! It was the stuff! As embarrassing as it was, I thought it was equally hilarious. People like kids with a good attitude about things.
