You're definitely on the right track Gabe, as VMP and Lund should definitely find a solution for you that will fix your oxygen sensor issues.. I would also recommend JDM engineering and possibly Brenspeed as well although they're specialty are the older 4.6L 3v 05-10 Mustangs..

I've replaced the rear oxygen sensors, still nothing.
I even tried a slightly bigger pulley for a couple weeks, and nothing.
This morning I put the small 3.125" pulley back on and took it out for a spirited drive, within 10 minutes the catalyst went ready!!!
So here's hoping that the next cruise I take will do something good for the O2s.
That's a good sign Gabe! Hopefully that works for you bro.
Good luck!

I originally started with JDM but they won't tune me anymore with my current 3.125" pulley unless I sign a paper that they're not responsible for what might happen, and I think that's BS, I won't do that.

Thanks Tony, hope so.
We have it out to dinner tonight, will keep driving it and see what happens.
If anything, I'm enjoying having all my power back

You're absolutely right Gabe, as that is indeed a crock of B.S.. If the folks over at JDM are such Ford tuning specialists and so confident in their tuning abilities, not only shouldn't they require you to sign a release from, but should also provide you with a tune that's going to work properly by resolving the oxygen sensor issues that you've been going through.. Maybe consider Brenspeed in addition to VMP and Lund

whoa whoa whoa... Gabe, I think we talked offline about this in the past, and I talked to Jr before about this (when he and Nick did my tune, etc.). If I recall, this all started because they were comfortable providing a tune within their limits - that is, suited for "enough" power, without the use of a BAP. I recall they/you saying you wanted more power, so you wanted to go with a BAP (I assume you did?), and that's where I believe you chose to go with another tune. Is that correct? Am just asking...

I don't mean any disrespect at all - but - in a way, I see where JDM is coming from. Your car has evolved a lot since they first worked on it, with additions and changes beyond what they were "comfortable" doing. I can't blame them for not wanting to write a tune for your car, as it sits, because they don't like writing tunes for set ups they don't recommend. That's how I understood the situation, and from them.

I have always had a great relationship and experience from JDM... provided, I stay within the limits of their recommendations. That's what I've done, and my tune/setup has been bulletproof for the last few years. 600whp is enough for me...

In that vain, I do hope you figure out the issue with your setup, with or without JDM. I just wanted to put in my 2 cents, that I think I know where they are coming from.

Ok - bad pic alert! I have some iPhone pics I took this weekend. I went to the farmer's market downtown with the wifey and kids. There was a car show nearby, so I drove Marilyn, while the wife drove Portia with the kiddos. Yes, your eyes are not deceiving you... that is my wife's Prius behind me. A mustang and prius, the ultimate polar opposites

But at least they're completely buffed and swirl free - 6 and 5 years old respectively.

Then I did a Target errand... and I wanted to show you guys where I parked.

If you squint enough, or use a binocular, this is what she looks like up close!!!

Burton ! this has nothing to do with Gabe's past tuning experiences with JDM nor anything to do with a BAP, as he's not asking for any more power or anything beyond the limits of JDM's recommendations.. All Gabe wants is a tune that will pass emissions with his current setup and nothing more..

Last tune JDM sent me was for the twin-60 throttle body that came with the Whipple kit, the 3.25" pulley, and no BAP.
When I asked them for a tune for the twin-65mm throttle body cuz I wanted a bit more power, they said they wouldn't do it unless I signed a form saying I wouldn't hold them responsible for what might go wrong.

At the time I was dyno-ing at 591 rwhp.
Since then I added a higher-flowing H-pipe and lost some boost, the car was putting down 540-545 rwhp.

I went ahead and got the bigger twin-65 throttle body, the BAP, and the smaller 3.125" pulley and got a tune from a local shop, that put me at about 575 rwhp.
I went to the tune I'm running now from the premier local Mustang tuner and it put me at 608 rwhp, all numbers on the same dyno.

JDM got me running when the local shop couldn't do it, but now they know Coyotes pretty good and overall I'm very happy with their tune.

Yes, I have this issue with the O2 sensors, but we'll get it figured out.
One thing I have yet to do is the 40mph drive for 4-5 minutes, at a constant 40mph, right after starting up the car. hard to do when I live 4-5 minutes from a 40+ mph road.

And Burton, just cuz they send you revisions, it doesn't mean that each revision adds power. You haven't really dyno'd the car, you assume 600 rwhp, but I'd love to know what your car actually puts down, on a Dynojet dyno. You might be surprised yourself.

Ah I see Gabe... ok, makes sense. I hope you get it all figured out, Gabe. It's no fun having car issues Keep me posted.

As for my dyno, my last actual dyno was when I was on low boost, and a lesser tune, I think it was at 520 or so, if I recall. That was 6 psi, and also no headers... I think since then it was 9.5 psi, updated tune, plus headers, etc. I'm trying to find my old pics of the actual chart. I thought I had it redyno'd but I can't find it.

Headers may drop the boost a little, but you gain with the headers.
If I had to "GUESS",...I would say about 580/585RWHP. Just a "guess".
What is your RWTQ number Burton?

Officially listing mine for sale tonight! The Mustang experience was very mixed for me. Plenty of highs from the time I got it and taking it out on joy rides, banging gears...in addition to the lows of the build quality and "Mustang stigma". Still, there is a great community on here and I received a TON of info, advice, suggestions. If anyone is looking to buy a 20130 GT Brembo package with 13k miles, hit me up!

Hmmm....stigma? I guess I didn't realize there was a stigma (preumably a bad one) associated with owning a Mustang. Guess if there is I wouldn't -am not- letting anybody else sway my decisions. Allowing that means they are dictating how you live your life, not you...
