LED Really??
So I am right, they never were on the Mustang, and the article quote is wrong. The Cougar and Thunderbirds had them factory installed for sure. My uncle sold cars back then and he brought a 68 or 69 Cougar Eliminator over one day to give me a ride and my Aunt had a 66 T-Bird with the lights. I have been a Mustang fan since I first saw them on the streets back in 64. I didn't think I had missed that.
I saw at SF too, they are 3 individual LED bulbs. And this is a good thing. It pains me to think about the cost of replacing an individual LED bulb in the clusters of the Cadillacs or Infinitis, etc and the labor involved. LEDs DO last longer, but not forever. They go out too, and replacing ONE bulb vs the whole tailight is definitely going to be better for us as the consumer.
Im happy that they went with single LEDs. Dont really care for the look of cars with several LEDs. By the way on a side note, I saw a new Mazda 6 last night and the rear lights are ugly, I personally perfer the previous Mazda 6.
