Lava with Black Stripe
#3
Lava with the Brembo package wheels is understated, subtle and cool... the stripe is interesting but I don't think it adds that much. I could take it or leave it.
Just my $.02.
Thanks for sharing the pics though. Its a variant that I doubt anybody has seen yet.

Why is it that it seems like nobody has really good pictures of this color yet.
All of them are either blurry, with a cell phone, indoors, etc.
Somebody needs to get this color outdoors, with a decent camera and take some awesome pics!

Not a fan of the flat black stripe.
What I think would work great with the Lava Red is a red Ghost Flame job. I think that would be outrageous.
Some variation of this, except maybe even more subtle:

A friend of a friend is a professional photographer who specializes in cars. I am buying him a 12 pack to just snap some photos for me... but he only gets to drink them after he's taken the pics.

I washed, waxed and shot it in bright sun with my Nikon D90 and my best lens and it barely looked red. I think I need to a) shoot in the late morning so the sun hits it better and b) push the red a bit in photoshop if I have to. But a raw outside shot is not simple. I think.

I was all about Lava when I saw it on the F150, but on the Mustang it just doesn't pop enough for me. Even in person. 90% of the time it just looks black. I've seen it in bright light, overcast, night time. It always looks black unless the sun hits it JUST right and you see the metallic. Tuxedo Black is more apparent than Lava. Two shades lighter and it would be PERFECT. And it would match the Lava Red interior better....

Think it's a hard color to capture in pics... Have seen one in person, and it looks different...
The stripes don't do much for me, but that's really a personal choice... If I was going to do stripes, they'd be gloss, and ghost red ala Chip Foose's Chevelle (?) rebuild on "Overhaulin", or like the M/C fuel tank above... that would look great, and one of a kind.
