Lack of Gauges Shock and Disappointment
In fairness to the OP, there WAS (still is?) a mistake in the information on Ford's own website for the '14s that implied that Track Apps was standard on all GTs.
Which clearly isn't the case. I'm not sure the fact that the OP is new to Mustangs and/or Fords (or used to own GMs) has any bearing on that fact.
That said, I do have track apps on my car, and I'm not sure how much the included gauges would help you on the track. I'm pretty sure that the TA oil temp gauge is "synthesized" based on cyl head and water temp readings (and doesn't give you an actual # reading anyway), and oil pressure is simply a "low"/"normal" (and "high" I presume, though I've never seen it go there) idiot light that also tells you basically nothing. If you're serious about tracking, and want that information, you're going to need aftermarket gauges that give you proper numeric readings anyhow.
Just something to consider before you spend $$ to swap in the premium gauge cluster, if you're still considering that.

I've already bookmarked this write up as it was a clean install

if you've ever watched nascar and noticed how spiffy their gauges are
one version:
shelby guage pod design seems like it would be better integrated to the interior design but the execution may be a bit lacking, looks a tad bulky etc.
Not even sure if it would work on the 11+ dashes

^ that gauge setup is fantastic, although probably a little beyond what I would need. haha
If I could find a clean b-pillar setup I would probably consider that too, as I like the dash open if possible, as my GPS usually sits right where the gauge pod would be. And I have a terrible sense of direction, so the GPS is needed!
I need to talk with my friend with the Boss 302 and see what he's played around with. There are lots of options, just need to identify which will work best for my purposes.

Sorry for the confusion.
I think we're beating a dead horse here. OP is not happy that his car doesn't tell him as much as it should even though he thought it would because he read it on the internet.
OP also doesn't want to change anything on his car because it won't look factory (so future modding is out of the question, I guess).
OP is/was a GM guy.
OP hasn't commented on the rest of the car, like performance, ride, how awesome the recaros are, etc.
We're probably not setting a good example to a new member, but you can argue coming in and moaning about the gauges may not be the best impression to make neither.
it's 65 degrees and sunny today. I'm going to go out and enjoy my Mustang now...
