I'm a minimum of 50 miles in any direction from anyplace exciting. On weekends, it's more like 100 miles tho.
Great area. I go to the Leesburg Bikefest every year. Rolling hills in Fla. , wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it myself.

Yeah, we discovered the bike fest about the same time I sold my Kawasaki 1100. The wife wasn't fond of wearing a helmet in this heat so we always took a car everywhere while the bike gathered dust.

That's when I knew I needed another convertible.

I'm near the Gulf Coast too but more like the extreme Northwest Gulf Coast.

Wheel is being fixed right now so I will hopefully be able to share some pictures either later tonight or tomorrow. Soooo glad that we don't have to get a new wheel!!!!

Wheel is fixed - whew!

The Hubby met the guy at a car dealership and since it took longer than he expected he only charged us $75. It looks pretty good so I'm off Mustang restriction. I can see some color difference along the lip where it was damaged the most but I can live with it. The guy said that he had just done a wheel repair on our opposite - a white GT500 with red stripes.

Before pictures on at the beginning of this thread. After pictures -

I didn't realize the stock Brembo brake pads were so dust prone. I'd swap out to something with less dust ASAP, EBC Redstuff worked well for me.

I clocked my "new" take-off GT500 wheels on a way-too long curb right before my last track day, felt like such an idiot. Wife did the same thing to her Audi wheels the week before. And I did the same thing pulling out of the DiscounTire lot with my brand-new 20s two weeks after owning the car!

Curbs suck...

Note to self: False alarm in the FLA panhandle, situation resolved. Delete Nancy Grace from the DVR schedule.

Wow! I'm amazed they can repair wheels like that. I'm so careful with curbs, but I can see a repair in my future at some point. I'm happy your repair looks so good.

They have 'mobile repair' trucks now. They can come to your home or work, do the repair in a two or three hours.
