Just got my 2013 GT Coupe Premium
Hello Everyone~
I'm so happy to finally have my GT!
I have some comments so far and questions maybe someone can help me with...
Is there a way to display what gear I'm in on the dashboard? No biggie, it would just be cool.
Why am I getting 12 mpg? No biggie again as my office is only 10 miles away, but it's supposed to get 19 mpg average.
Should I "break-in" the car? I am currently shifting gears at around 2 rpm, but sometimes more. Is there a rule of thumb?
When Sync is giving me turn by turn directions while connected to my phone (I don't have Navigation package) I can't seem to play my iPod that's connected to USB.
I spent 2 hours trying to figure out how to program garage door opener but was unsuccessful.
THANKS EVERYONE.

The instructions for the opener are NOT in the manual that came with the car. LOLOL. Second half of the video to use it. lol
Break in is basically just vary the RPM's. you can do some WOT but just not alot.
Reset the MPG setting 12 is about what you get in town. ish

Also, I can't find the sunglasses clip that goes on the passenger visor. Some people have it some don't. Does it come with the car? If so I will call and make sure to have them ship it to me!

I was told by my dealer that accurate mileage will not be reported until after the first oil change. I drive my car daily and have been in several long trips. In mixed driving I average 18MPG and highway 22MPG with speeds up to 90ish. I found the visor clips in the bottom of the glove box.

Were they just in the glove box, or does it have an actual storage place? I've looked everywhere...calling the salesman today!

My '03 GT with 100k miles, a Cobra T56 and 3.73s gets between 18-22mpg combined. Darn new fangled technologies...you guys have like 150hp on me and we get the same mileage. I gotta get started on that Coyote swap.

When you're connecting to SYNC Services, it should stop playing your iPod through the USB connection. Once the directions are downloaded and the call to SYNC Services is disconnected, press the voice command button on your steering wheel and say USB. This should allow you to access the music from your iPod again. The way SYNC interacts with each device is unique, so let me know how this works for you! Keep in mind that when directions come through your speakers, the volume of your music may decrease momentarily.

For the garage door opener I couldn't program mine either. I followed the manual to no avail. I then went to the ford website to look for info and found that there are 3 versions of the mustang manual. Lo and behold the instructions in the other versions for programing the garage door opener were different. Tried the downloaded manual instructions and voila a functional garage door opener on my visor.
The owner manuals are kinda cheap quality compared to former years. I was a bit bugged the incorrect manual version came with the car, but I got over it real fast during the next drive.
Look in the console compartment, should have been the sunglasses clip in a plastic bag. Check the console thoroughly it may clipped inside to something including the lid.

ok figured out the garage door works perfect.
Now another question. When i'm playing music through ipod via usb and shut the car off and turn it back on "line in" is displayed and won't play music. I have to again use sync and say usb to get it going. Also there's no USB button on dash?
