Sorry to harp on this but does this look something a $60,000+ car should have. The screws are so Tacky. It should be an entire A-Pillar with pods so there are no screws showing.

Keep in mind they said it was a 'concept vehicle'. There may be refinements coming.
(although they should have had it ready for 'show time')

They're trying to preserve some of the "rustic" feel that the originals had. Just in the wrong places :crap:

Well taking into consideration, the poor build quality I personally saw on EVERY Shelby GT I've seen, I am not at all surprised by the cheap, tacky details like the screws showing on the pillar pod. I agree that the entire pillar trim should have been replaced with an integrated pod. I also think the crappy looking body kit they developed looks cheap and over done. Too many unresolved lines, and tacked on looking crap. The rear end is a NIGHTMARE!!! the heavy black trim added around the tail lights and on the decklid look like something from a JC Whitney catalog from the late 70's early 80's, and the round backup lights mounted low in the bumper just look ridiculous! One thing I can say for Ford, at least they have some taste when they developed the Shelby GT-500, they left Shelby out of the design and development of it....

It's hard to build a body style to please even the majority of people. Everybody has a different idea of what

is good or better. In reality all the things we do to our cars to mod the looks are for ourselves, as they have

already been aerodynamically designed. So Shelby (or whoever) pumps a car full of plastic, let the ones who

want to play - pay. Performance on the other hand is measurable. Pleasure in driving is not.
