I'm trying to find the best cold air intake for my '10 GT. I was looking at the Roush ones and it looks like all I get is the air filter for $200. All the other ones like Steeda are $400 and require tunes and what not. Which one should I get?
Any of the top CAI will be worth the money and all perform about the same. Airaid, Steeda, JLT are 3 you should consider. I run the Airaid and it is a nice product with nice fit and finish.
you will NOT feel ANY difference in performance or noise with the Roush (trust me, I didn't). The stock CAI is so efficient, that you will not have any gains from buying one that does not require a tune. Unless you want to do a tune, save your $$$.
I am considering the same, just picked up a new 2010 from my ford dealer, a month ago. It looks like a lot of people like the steeda with the tune from am. I think I might go that way but I am also thinking of a supercharger. I don't know which way to go yet. I do love the car though.
Stampede,
You're new... I feel compelled to urge you to make sure you read up on the #8 issues and the warranty insta-shred that happens as soon as you plug in the tuning device.
The tuners seem to have responded to the #8 piston issue and you'll probably be fine...but if you have any engine problems, you will have no coverage.
It may be well worth it...but just educate yourself first.
