I wish you could try mine, i'd bet you like it.

As the OP to this thread, I was surprised to see it in the queue (thought it would be long dead and buried). I was getting ready to post my install of the Blowfish shift mount...

Anyway, having just taken my 2014 Mustang GT out on a run to test another new mod (the aforementioned Blowfish mount), I can say I'm still appreciating the JMS PedalMax. I am running the FordRacing tune (which is definitely NOT an aggressive tune by any definition), and I can say the JMS PedalMax is still doing its job. I hit the traction control button to engage "Sports Mode," and I'm still happy with the way this little device changes the throttle!

Overall, I think Ford made a mistake when they made our throttles "fly-by-wire." Every time I drive my '65, I'm reminded that having the throttle controlled by a physical wire isn't a bad thing! The JMS PedalMax solves that problem (and I'm sure a good tune can do the same thing), and I'm very happy with the result.

As for the V6... in the latest issue of Mustang Monthly, they point out that the current EcoBoost V6 pretty much outperforms the 429 found in classic Stangs- I think that says it pretty well! The V6 lays out over 300hp, which is pretty darn respectable! I have the 302 in my '14 GT, but my '65 still runs on its factory supplied 200 inline six (so I definitely don't look down my nose on a Mustang sporting a six cylinder powerplant).

To sum, unless you are already running an aggressive aftermarket tune, the JMS PedalMax is still the solution to Ford's fly-by-wire throttle!

Thanks for the feedback. Please post back on what you think of the PedalMax.

I want to get a Mike Rousch tune for mine as well. A lot of people say a custom tune fixes the throttle lag, but it seems that this is not completely the case.

I prefer the design of the Sprint Booster ... same thing .. different company. Nicer controls and simple in-line Module.

As mentioned, this is pretty much a concept identical to PedalMax (which can also be set to deliver a 60% or 100% boost by either installing a jumper or through an optional dial). Both systems are simple, in-line modules.

With either one, you're going to want to leave it at 100% effectiveness- so its 6 of one, 1/2 dozen of the other. They also come at identical costs (no accident, I'm sure).

I do like the explanation provided by the video, however. JMS Chip should produce a similar video, since it helps to understand the product.

had chance to test it out today and I like it the throttle response is not like a wow factor but it feels right Im using the 60% red plug no delay or dead space in the throttle it just hit and go on the A6 money well spent

Looking at the video of Sprint Booster my only concern is that electronic button to control the gain, I'm wondering if it keep in memory the setting everytime you restart the car or if you have to press to put it back everytime. The Pedal Max has a mechanical adjustment of the gain.
