Inconsiderate People

This reminds me of a situation I had a while back.
I was walking out from picking up some pizza's. As I walk out I see two dirty looking teenagers standing too close to my car. As I get closer I can see one is sitting on my fender/hood as they are talking to the equally awesome looking girl in the car next to mine. I walk over as say to them "hey thats a nice car. Is it yours?" to which one of the guys replies "No". At this point I lose my cool and yell "Then get the #%&* off my hood!". Both of the guys kind of look dumbfounded at each other and the girl in the car decides she needs to get involved by saying "you don't need to act that way" to which I reply "Is it your car? Then it's none of your **** business". By this time the kid got off my car and moved away. I inspected my car and everything looked okay so I got in and left.
It amazes me what little respect people have for other people's property.

BUT -- he apologized and offered to move the car. Maybe cut this one some slack . . . ?

@ gooch I'm thinking of buying a little extra help and motivation for people to leave my car alone:

I'm rather in disbelief you didn't make him try again. I would have. To enforce the point, but moreso to *give me room to operate*.
That must have hurt to crawl/twist into, from the looks of it.
/dude probably also exits a parking lot in the middle of the exit to turn right.

Went out for a drive today as the weather was nice and all that. Great drive, and decided to pick up a salad at Chipotle on my way home. As usual, I carefully scan the parking lot for a nice corner spot far away from anyone else and walk away with a couple backward glances at what a good-looking automobile the new Mustang is. Anyway...
I leave Chipotle with my salad and notice a car that just pulled in right next to me and, even from a distance, I can see that he parked very close. So I walk up (luckily) as he is opening his door to exit his (or his momma's) Hyundai and I verbalize that he best be careful not to touch my car as he is trying to slide out of his car. I watched intently as he jimmied his way out and shuts his door. I say to him, Are you kidding me? You can park anywhere you want but are you ignorant?!?" He looked back at the cars and offered an apology ("My bad..."), and asked if I wanted him to move his car. I replied, "No! Don't touch a thing - just be more mindful when you park next time... and try and stay within the lines." Unfortunately, I did mutter loud enough that he was an a**hole, but since I knew he didn't ding (or worse) my sheetmetal, I was actually pleased I kept my cool. Before he left the scene, I pulled out my Blackberry and uttered, "I gotta get a picture of this - my forum buddies can commiserate with me on this one."

I have an end spot that I usually park at a place I regularly go that is at the end of a row. I try to leave room around the opposite side to allow for the flung-open door and the rear for a car that might park behind. Recently, I saw someone parked their car behind mine who had not only crossed over the dividing line but came within less than 1/4" of my front bumper. I am looking at this car and thinking, wow, about a 1/4 of this person's car is OVER the line. Needless to say, I park somewhere else now.

That's one reason I'm glad I haven't gotten a new car yet...I could give two ***** about my car's paint, and it has a couple of dings on it. I'm going to eventually bed line the entire exterior, so then I really won't care haha!

I feel your pain. I came back to my car to find this. Notice where the parking meter is. I always carry a camera and take pics in case of any damage. I almost blew a gasket. Print off some of these and carry them in your car. lol

that's a sick car
A lot of people are inconsiderate. It's just how the world is. Sometimes I wish I could "teach them a lesson," but then I'd be in prison.
You tell the person off, they might just mumble a "my bad" or shrug. If you punch them in the face for it, I bet they'd be way more careful next time - and possibly save someone else's Stang from being dinged.

This morning I parked in the same spot that lead to some asshat parking over the line and too close to my car last time. In this spot i'm almost over the line since there is no other space on one side. This means nobody will park on my passenger side and there is TONS of room between my drivers side and the line. So if the next guy parks normally, he has more than enough room to get in and out.
We'll see if some jackass decides to cross the line just to **** me off.

Actually that can create more problems. Many people see this is a sign of extreme arrogance (me included) no matter what kind of car is parked in two spaces. In my younger years when I had beater cars, I would sometimes park right next (inches away) to a car parked in two spaces, I've never done this to a car properly parked in one space though.

FYI, Brake fluid is my friend !!![/quote]
Just out of curiosity, when splashing the offenders car with brake fluid, do you pour it straight from the quart or use some kind of spray bottle.

Well, this wasn't my car, but it was someone parked in front of me at work. I figured you guys could appreciate it. If I came out from work and someone was parked that close to me (literally wouldn't be able to get in the door) I think I'd break the glass and push their car out of the slot..
