I agree with you I would think this section would be for people that own these cars. And would like to exchange information not talk non stop about a car that no owns yet. I love my 2010 its the 10th mustang I have owned and it is by far the best. The 3valve engine is proven and the power output is limitless. The mods are availble right now. The new engine will take years to catch up if you want more power. Forced induction will be needed to make any significant power output from a small displacement 5.0 for street use. High compresion forced induction street use? It will be a great car but the 2010 is as well. The 2010 is not a Slow POS with an ugly rear end!! I had a 2008 Gt and I like this rear end much better. Seems to me most of the I want a 2011 crowd has showed the 2010 no respect by filling the forum up about a car no one will have for at least 6 months. Talking about Mods and upgraded parts for a car that no one even owns makes no sense to me.

The power you can make with these engines with parts that are curently availble is what I meant. You will be able to in the future build a new bottom end for the 5.0 and add some serious boost to it. If you just have to have a 302 there are strokers for the 3v as well. For a street application the 3v modified can compete with anything out there.

You guys aren't getting it.

Just what discussion do you think took place in this forum before the '10 came out?

This section is for the 2010 generation, Brad just hasn't renamed it yet. No one is stopping anyone from holding discussion about the '10. If you want to discuss it start a thread and stop getting butt-hurt about '11 discussion.

WOW!

This is funny to me how there are 2010 owners complaining about current Mustang owners or even soon to be Mustang owners discussing the updated version of what they have
...

I don't recall this animosity from SN95 owners when others started talking about the S197... or even early S197 GT owners complaining about SE (GT500, GT/CS, Bullitt, Shelby GT) discussions.

Heck, if it upsets you guys that much, just add everyone talking about 2011s to your ignore list.

Do some of you actually think there'd be a forum dedicated entirely to one model year Mustang only?

There is for the GT500!

In the 2010's case there should be. New body, old engine. It's a unique case. You will have tech mixed up left and right unless people specify in EVERY POST which year they are referring to.

Exactly, If it calls for it why shouldn't there be? 2010 shares engine work with the 05-09. Yet cosmetically the 2011 will be pursuant to that of the 2010 (give or take a lil). Where's the line? I'm not sure...

Frankly i don't think anyone is. They'll have to rework the subgroups obviously, but a whole thread could make the transition easier rather than going subgroup to subgroup? Just sayin... Honestly, I can see both sides on this, which makes it hard to rationalize a final decision on it. So we'll see how it plays out!

We could just shove the 2010s in with the 2005-2009 forum, make it 2005-2010.

Because nobody's really going to be worried about cosmetic parts -- if you can't find tech on that by yourself, you should be banned from the Internet.

The engine tech, however, might be the best way of grouping the 2010 in, and so they'd be relegated to the 2005-2010 forum. Compromise!

Since the SN95 Mustang forum is only broken up into 2 Sub-Forums (1994-204 V-8 & 1994-2004 V6)... Why should the 2010 have a separate Sub-Forum?

The SN95 had the same 5.0L from the Fox bodies in 1994. They freshened the sheet metal in 1999...

Here's a thought... the 2010 owners that don't like others talking about the 2011 in their forum could always start their own forum

forums.2010Mustang.com
forums.newbodyoldengineMustang.com
forums.buyersremorseMustang.com
forums.IwishIhada5LMustang.com
forums.Wah2011wahMustang.com

Lol^^...I don't see what the big deal is. I want a 2011, but after driving the 2010, it's more than enough car for me coming from what I'm driving now, and my commute. All depends on the deal I would get on a '10, but I think I'm going to order an '11 anyway and decided when it gets here. I don't mind sharing space with the '11s if I get a '10, or sharing space with the '10s if I get an '11. Can't we all be friends??

Forums and subforums will be created eventually, just like they were previously when traffic warranted them.

But why would we change things now, and miss all of this entertainment?

You are all missing the point of this post. I have no problem sharing this forum with owners of other year mustangs. I am glad ford is stepping up with thier engines but the blah blah blah rumors, speculations, and tech people are discussing in 2010 forum. Sorry but you would think all this chatter would belong in the rumor mill or future mustangs. This car will not be for sale for months and if you want to buy at Gt before Jan 2011 your probably gonna pay 35K+ for it out the door. Yes you are right since the 2010 came out in the spring people on this forum have talked trash about the rearend and how they are waiting for a 2011 and how cool it was gonna be. Yes up until two weeks ago it was all rumors and this forum was already filled with 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0. The 2011 is welcome in this forum but can someone that owns one at least do the posting. Maybe we do need more posts on the 2011 maybe ford changed the valve stems or where the trunk release button is located?? Ford should be happy with this forum though hell it says over 100 people on here are going to buy one.

maybe if you spend your time posting about the '10 rather than complaining about '11 posts there will be more '10 threads here

Let's see...you have no problem sharing the forum with others, but only if they own one. We can't talk about the 2011 because it won't be out for months. We should only be posting things about the 2011 in the rumor section. Any other rules that you would like to impose on everyone else? Especially since you have made seven whole posts since you've been here.
Here is some news for you....this is exactly how it took place back in 2008 (the forum was 2005-2008 then)when we were all talking about the future 2010. Where were you? I was here and I don't remember the bickering and complaining that is taking place now. We shouldn't be splitting hairs over years or engines. Read the threads you like and skip the rest. Its pretty simple, try it. Or start your own forum and do what you want with it.
By the way, the forum is called 2010+ mustang.
