Think about it.

Can't we all just get along.

I don't mind all the 2011 stuff, but I can see and respect Branman's view entirely. Plus I agree that later on- 20+ years or so - these will all be virtually classified the same base, but with tweeks. (if you call a 100+ hp a tweek? or the 99% body/interior frame up a tweek? But yea I can see that happening.) However at the moment (since they're the same...) go post a good 7-10 of these long winded threads in a 2005-2009 forum and they'll want to throw you out...

2010 relates to the 2005-09 'engine' wise.
2010 relates to the 2011 'design' wise.
Where's the line? I'm not sure...

But yea, lately there's has been information overload like crazy on the 2011- which fittingly so I guess... So I can see both sides... But once this all dies down, I'm sure everything will get settled.

Its not even an issue. Like Boomer said this is the section is for the 2010-(2014?) mustangs which the '11 obviously is. Just because everyone is excited about the '11 and posting about it is no reason for a fuss.

No one is stopping anybody from posting about the '10....

I personally think the 2010 should be grouped with the 2005-2009 making it 2005-2010. Point being, when all the 2011+ guys are posting in the current 2010 forum its gonna be a totally different car as far as engine, trans, mods and ect. In the end I think the 2010 guys will end up in the 2005-2009 forum for technical info anyways IMO (4.6 with 5 speeds). The after market is going to be much different for the 2011+ and be unrelated to the 4.6 equipped GT's.

Get what I'm trying to say?

I am down to except the 2010 guys in the 2005-2009 forums? We all need to figure out how to hang with those pesky 2011's anyways

For those with 2010's, they are in sort of a unique position, its still 5th generation but basically I guess you can say they will have the external appearance of the 2011-14 (?) with the "internals" of the 05 - 09"s. Whether this is the best of both worlds or the worst I have no idea...

There's no way I can afford an '11 either, but I'm as excited as a kid at Christmas. Any new Mustang is worth getting excited about and it gives me something to work towards and dream about

I just think there should be a different section until the vehicle actually comes out. I really would love to see pics of a 2011 that someone actually owns and talks about. All the rumors and all is just getting old.
Those of us who were hear early on can tell you, rumors like those surrounding the 2011 are a large part, if not the largest part, of what this forum was built upon. I appreciate that it isn't something everybody enjoys, but it has been a part of this forum from the beginning.

Wow, it's perfectly fine to post your opinions, but where'd you get the statistics that a lot of people don't check this forum anymore because there are too many 2011 posts?! As far as I know, you're the only one complaining (which you have every right to do, btw - you just shouldn't lump "alot" of others in there with you unless you have some evidence).

Any would-be 2011 owners want to complain about the upcoming 2012 updated Mustang/SE threads that will be posted in the 2010-2011 section? Figured get that out of the way now. <--- If you can't tell, I'm just being silly. I can understand why there is so much focus on the 2011. It indicates the level of excitement in the Mustang community (and hopefully the buying public) surrounding the new (overdue IMO) engines and transmissions the GT & V6 will receive, hopefully making the Mustang a much better car than it already is.

Hey Branman, sorry this has got your underwear in a bunch.
The reason I started coming to this forum was because of all the rumors and thoughts that were being posted about the future 2010 mustang......in the 2005-2008(at that time) forum. I don't recall anyone complaining about that then. But then again that was awhile ago.

If not for the 2011 news, what else would there be? And, really, isn't that the purpose of a Mustang forum, to share all of the latest rumors, news, etc with fellow Mustang enthusiasts? Considering the Mustang community is abuzz given the potential of a 412-horsepower Mustang GT, and the embargo is supposed to be lifted this Monday, I think you will probably just need to get used to the 2011-related posts because I don't see them dying down anytime soon. If anything, it'll probably get worse.
