Don't pull your switch!
I did once and it was quite a job getting it out and apart and reinstalled. Yesterday I used CRC QD Electronic Cleaner. I gave the switch several good sprays and rocked it back and forth a number of times. Then I repeated that process and left it to dry overnight. Today it shifts perfectly, even under hard acceleration. What a relief to know that I can repeat that process any time it stops shifting perfectly and it will work just fine.

I find that with mine it is upshifting that usually gets finicky - especially under hard acceleration. Shifts great now with 56K miles on it. I did the switch tear down at about 30K miles or a little more. With as few miles as it gets these days it probably won't fail again until I am too D...ED old to drive it. Since we are day care for our granddaughter (and two of them as of 4/15) and that means car seats, my wife's Honda Pilot gets most of the miles.
