It's been killing me to keep this a secret, and I've hinted at a lot the past couple weeks. I sold my 03 yesterday to put towards the down payment of my new ride. I had been wafting back and forth between a new Fusion or Focus ST as a daily driver, even kicked around the thought of a V6 Mustang, but ultimately my gf (if all goes well, she'll be my fiancé today ) convinced me to just order exactly what I want and she'll take over driving my 05 Escape. We always take that on the weekends when we have the baby anyways, so may as well get what I want since her commute is less than a mile...right?

So here are the specs:

2014 Mustang GT Premium
Ingot Silver/Black Recaros
Track Pack
Glass Roof
Electronics Pack
Backup Cam

Yes, Ingot Silver...I know most people probably thought I was going to do Sterling Gray, and that was my gf's first choice, but SGM has gotten really popular on here lately, and I have a P-51 theme in my head that just won't work with SGM, so Silver it is! Plus it's easier to take care of.

Those of you that have known me on here for a while, know that I've come *this* close to getting a new car multiple times, and it's always fallen through for whatever reason. I'm hoping this time is different, since I have no credit card debt, I'm at a good stable job (even if I hate the work) that has amazing medical coverage for my family, and I'm still going to be able to save up to buy a house within the next 1-2 years, depending on how quick I pay the car off. I should have about $13k to put down, given my eta of 7/16.

I want to thank Brian and Tom at Bowen Scarff Ford (5 Oh Brian on here) for all their help so far. I highly encourage anyone in the Pacific Northwest to talk to these guys. I can't wait to fly up, meet them, and drive back down!

By the way, I already have mods for the car LOL

Mods already waiting to go on:

- Koni Yellow S/S (thank you Hypermotive!)
- FRPP K-Springs (Burton's old springs)
- GT500 Steering Wheel
- Steeda G-Trac Brace
- Clear front side markers with amber LEDs
- 1" spacers, two sets for front and rear.

Mods planned:
- Stainless Works Quad Exhaust and catted X
- GT500 valance
- BMR PHB/LCAs/UCAs
- Most likely AED tune since they are semi-local to me
- 50% tint on windshield and front side windows, 35% on the rear 3
- Shave the Sirius/Nav antenna and relocate
- RTR decklid if I can find one, if not I'm going to have my old shop customize my stock panel because I really want the grille pony 2015 look
- Roush front/side/rear Splitters
- Either Shelby CS70s or Vossen CV1s, haven't decided yet
- GT500 rear brake upgrade

P-51 Theme:
- D-Day Invasion stripes down the rear quarter panels
- Roush P-51 emblems, if I can find them
- Red/yellow checker front nose wrap
- Some kind of pin up doll on the front fenders
- CS fog light panels with faux .50 cal barrels
- BMW/Porsche/Mercedes black and white vinyl emblems on the driver's door for my "kills" - German cars only to keep with the D-Day theme, but not have swastikas on my car lol

Audio:
- Image Dynamics 8" mids and Mini Horns (need to source these)
- Audison bit one and LRx5.1k
- Two 12" DIYMA R12s mounted infinite baffle

The last mod will be a supercharge kit, but that's going to be way down the road.

Oh yeah, I ordered it on 4/17/2014. I couldn't think of a better day to place an order! If the the 2015 was available with a Glass Roof or Pano Sliding Roof, I probably would've waited, but the deal I got and timing of the 50th Anniversary date just made me feel good about going with a tired and true S197.

Now to hope it doesn't come with squeaky LCAs and bubbling paint on the hood and trunk...

I know I wish I could have, but selling the '03 really made it official for me. Now that I'm sitting on a decent amount of cash, and will have even more by the time it's delivered, makes me feel a lot better about buying a $40k car when I have an infant lol
