If you have a regular GT I don't think you can just get the rear diffuser and swap out. I believe you would have to cut the original area out. the Cali special and Boss have the removable piece that can be swapped with the GT500 piece.

I am sure someone will be along shortly to correct this if I am wrong.

You need the full rear fascia to install either a Boss/CS or GT500 diffuser. I posted part numbers for the GT500 mufflers in the retrofit thread, and the diffuser part number may not be 100% correct. It's definitely not as cheap to swap out as the 10-12 cars.

It will work if you want it to, at least with the boss diffuser:

A brain is required though

And after looking at the video of the guy who rigged it onto his, you see why. It's a 50 foot job. Doesn't quite fit right, requires irreparably modifying both the bumper and diffuser, and looks bad IMO.

Yeah, I have to say that video is more an example of what NOT to do.

Yea that vid isnt the best. Im sure a reputable body shop would do some good work but i dont think it would be the same. Be much better off doing a full rear end swap

Lol, screws into your new cars bumper isn't the best way no, but I can think of a better way to secure the sides.....at least in theory. We shall see. In fits....is it a direct fit? No. Can it work? Yes.
