It is a car I have never liked (except very early ones). Just large pieces of fiberglass with a big engine driven by balding fat guy`s who use it as an extention of, well you know what

Parts are SO easy to change on the car when they haven't been destroyed by road salt...

Yes, a car is meant to be driven and a Mustang GT is meant to be driven fast. I'm not saying that a Mustang is only driven properly if the tires are squealing around every turn, but we don't buy 300+ hp cars to poke along in the slow lane. Even with winter tires you still can only go so fast when the temperature is below freezing. In winter, I couldn't drive my Mustang any faster than I can drive my wife's Dodge Durango.

If you choose to drive yours all year round, good for you. Personally, I would find it frustrating to drive a fast car slowly.

I drove my last mustang in the snow... 2002 V6...
Drove better than my S10 pickup with weight in the back.

If I can afford to keep a car off the road and drive a POS in the winter (with a working heater) then I will. The car is in great shape not being subjected to the harsh winter.

Although it goes against my personal belief, cars are meant to be driven, I do have to agree with Boomer and RandyW to some extend. I bought my car expecting to drive it all winter like I done with my Honda Accord but decided for this season only, to pay for a garage and store it. With all the snow we New Englanders have gotten this winter I'm so glad that I did that. Now I'm thinking of doing the same every year. Now if I had to get rid of my Honda for whatever reason I may have to rethink my strategy but for now that is the plan.

Like Boomer said if you can afford to keep your beautiful brand new car, Mustang or not, off the road for winter season and drive another reliable car in the winter then do it. It keeps the car looking great, inside and out. I know I would be crying driving my brand new Mustang behind those salt/sand dispenser trucks

One other point to consider, in favor of keeping her off the streets in winter. You're probably more likely to have someone slide into you when it's icy out.

Granted I live in Vancouver which doesn't see nearly as much snow as the rest of Canada, but I just don't get people that baby their cars to that extent. Sure it's good to take care of what you have so it isn't money wasted, but isn't it also money wasted when you can't use something you paid for?

If you're too afraid to put a bit of wear and tear on a car, it's probably because you can't really afford the car you bought.

It's like those people who buy really expensive whiskey or wine and are always waiting for that "special occasion" to open it and it just ends up collecting dust. Enjoy what you have. It's not like it's a 69 Boss 429 or something.

Have you ever been anywhere else during the winter? It's a fridgid wasteland of snow and ice in SK and it doesn't come anywhere close to melting until mid to late March.

Am I afraid to put a little wear and tear? No. That's what the summer is for. It get's plenty of that. I bought this car for the sole purpose of summer enjoyment. Like others have said, when you can afford to plate and drive two vehicles, why the hell would you bang thru snow drifts and slide around on ice in your brand new RWD 400+ hp sports car? It just doesn't make sense to me. I like your backwards logic...
