I order my car last week (4/20) and the order was supposedly place with Ford by the dealer on 4/22.

When can I expect a VIN number?

I got mine in 3 days or 13 days depending on how you look at it. Was told the dealer put the order in in 4/13 and I had a VIN on 4/16. Window sticker came up exactly 1 week before scheduled build which is 5/4. I had to prod the dealer repeatedly to get any information and once I had the VIN, I quit asking him and just went to the Ford 800 number.

 

Can you call Ford to see if you have your VIN? Or does it have to be my dealer? I'm pretty sure my dealer hates me I bug him so much (and I haven't asked him about a VIN yet).

 

You'll need the dealer ID and order number. Guess where you get those?

 

Actually if you have the Order Number then Customer Service can look up the Dealer ID Number by the Phone Number.

 

Who knows?? It's been since Jan 20th, no Vin...
