I went with the MRT kit and it was super easy to install. The only problem I had was with the sound tube getting in the way

You will get many different opinions on these in here. I had the MRT units on my 05
for 4+ years, and have them on the 11. I have had no problems with wind pushing the hood down or anything else. Easy install, no drilling/riveting, great units in my opinion. Whichever you go with is a big plus, cleans up the compartment nicely and makes easier access to everything under the hood. Good luck with your decision.

I recently installed a set of Redline hood struts. No issues during the install, and the stock look is great. Very happy with how stable they are.

Look how much room you have to work with!

For those with the MRT, what are you doing with the sound tube?

Don't ask me... I like a prop rod.

Reminds me of my British J-H/L bonnet...

I originally relocated it below the fender mounting point with a zip tie. When I got the JLT, I deleted it all together! Much better looking without it!

I have the CDC kit.... but I hear some have mounting issues because the lower bracket is different for some 2010+...

Not sure if they fixed it; but I'm happy with mine. =]

Has anyone used the ones from American Muscle? I like AM...but not sure about these struts. They don't say the name on them.

I notched the top side of the sound tube and reversed the bolt....mounted it below the fender lip. MRT kit had instructions on how to do that.

I went with the redline kit. They did their homework in determining the correct geometry to open, close and hold a hood open.
I'm sure the other kits work fine but the geometry is far from ideal and requires a very high force gas spring to accomplish the same thing.
