HID Headlights

When you drive at night do you get people flashing you because they think you have your brights on? I check and the bright indicator light isnt on and neither are my fog lamps. I've not been on the other end to know how bright they are, and I am sure they are not out of focus.

I usually get flashed 2 or 3 times on my drive home.

Nah, that's common. Just flash them back to show that you don't have your brights on.

Very common! Especially if you run with the fogs on like I do. Sometimes at Dusk and Dawn I will run with just the fogs on and no head lights. Provides more than enough light to see well. But get used to getting flashed! And not in the way you would probably prefer!...

Depends where I am driving. In less populated areas I get flashed a lot. People in those areas don't seem as familiar with HIDs

I don't get any negative feedback but this is NYC.

My advice would be the check the Aiming ASAP; I'd be more worried about losing additional lighting power and throw just cuz of 2 mm adjustment...

I get flashed quite a bit, and haven't been on the receiving end of a 13-14 either to see what it's like.

As a driver, they really don't seem to be overly bright. I'm thinking the other cars just seem to be at the right level to get the lights right on center, or they think the headlights are actually the high beams and the LED strips on each side are the low beam. So they probably see 4 lights and assume the high beams are on.

I get flashed every so often, but then I flash my high beam back they stop complaining. Not sure if you're city or country driving, but 2-3 times per evening seems excessive. Might want to double check alignment.

I drive City and Country driving to and fro....I get flashed....I flash back...usually cures it, but usually i will keep my eyes are the left edge of the road so in case I get a moron that wants turn on full brights just as I pass him I do not go blind. I can say I have had the HIDs from behind and on coming...yeah they are bright...I swear that the International Space Station can see me at times.

Another thing to consider is if you're carrying stuff.
Any weight in the trunk is acting as a lever to pry the front up. If you have softer springs, it won't be hard to tilt back at least one more degree.

If they're set normal, they aren't an issue.

I had a '13-'14 behind me this morning when it was dark out, looked completely fine.

The culprit is the grille fog lights, I have factory HIDs up top and 4500k HIDs on my lower fogs and I'm not blinding anybody

Hmm, I don't think so. The HIDs are BRIGHT when you're in the direct beam. I drive with 2 lights configurations on my 2014 GT:
1) Position lights only and LED grill mounted fog lights, or
2) Low beam no fogs

I get flashed only when I'm using (2). And I don't blame them. I know a '13-'14 GT when I see one coming down the road (I live in Detroit, there are quite a few). And those headlights are BRIGHT!

I guess I'm not used to seeing my car from a 3rd person perspective... Id have to pay more attention when I see another mustang head on or directly behind me... I thought the projectors point the light on the road

I think you're right. They do point (slightly down) at the road, but they also reach quite far, so the angle is not very steep from the line of the horizon. I love these HIDs, I can see so well at night. I do feel a little bad for oncoming traffic though

I have noticed, they do seem to project far down the road. Maybe when I lower the car it wont be so bad for the other driver. lol.

What I'm not happy about tho is the factory color of the HIDs... I was driving my dad's rental (2014 Corolla) and they also come standard with HIDs and the color was a clean, crisp white with the Stangs has yellowish lights... Looks like I'm gonna have to upgrade the bulb

Yep. That's why I upgraded to 5000k HIDs from my stock HIDs.

My 2014 HID's have a purplish color to them. I had a 2013 and the color was the same.
