Demonic, it helps to have some kind of "theme" as you start modding the car. This will help prioritize. Performance versus appearance; track versus strip; etc.
Or, there is always the "Craig's List Strategy" -- watch your local Craig's List for deals on take-off parts and go with those if you like them. You can save big money this way if you are patient and flexible.
For example this weekend I picked up a set of Ford 19x9" wheels (the ones that were originally used on the 2011 Brembo cars) with TPMS sensors inside and Blizzak snow tires for $400 for the set of four.

those wheels are super open and will make the brakes look tiny, so brakes might be near the top of your list also
