Putting new into old

May sound like a noobish question, but is it possible to take the parts, such as the engine and interior mechanisms (*****, sound system), from a new 'Stang (such as an '11) and put them in a New Edge like an '03? I'd liken it to putting everything from a brand new computer into the shell of an older one. Mostly I want the horsepower of a new 'Stang in my older '03, but other parts wouldn't be bad either.

Aside from if it can be done, I'm curious as to how much it would cost. I'd have to find each part, get it, then figure out how to put it in...

Foolish to buy each part individually and it will probably cost more.
Just buy a damaged car (you don't need the body) and go from there.

Cost of the transplant will depend on how much you do yourself and how much you transplant.
