Or we could just, you know, put on cheaper tires when replacement time comes around.

I knew they would be high from the get go but never planned on buying the same tire when I replaced them. I could of sworn they were coming in at the $335/tire range when I first looked at the Brembo package but I have since found out its even higher. But again I never intended on buying the same tires. There are comparable options in my opinion that are much more reasonable. I love the wheels, suspension, strut bar and brakes for a daily driver. I may tweek the suspension eventually but its good for me for now.

Here's another option. This place sells used tires in a variety of conditions. I bought my spare tire from here. There are several choices in 255/40/19 too:

Sure....but I can't follow the logic of spending money for the for the handling advantages of the Brembo Pkg. (of which the P-Zero's are a huge factor) and then hampering the performance with less capable tires.

The "regular" GT handles pretty **** good to begin with. Now if track time is the goal that's a different story. Seems to be a bit of Brembo snobbery developing on the boards, kinda like the GT vs V6 nonsense that takes away from the Mustang camaraderie. Enjoy your grip.

There are choices for very good performing tires that cost less than the OEM pirelli's.

I wish Dunlop made their Direzza Sport Z1 Star Specs in 19". I had those on my 335i and those were the best near-competition street tire I have ever driven on. It absolutely shames these Pirellis in every single category: grip, sidewall flex, wet, noise, appearance.

And this.

The max performance summer tires are just a bonus for me. The money for the Brembo brakes and IMHO beautiful wheels and handling was worth it (for me) by themselves.

Now I can roll using these nice expensive wicked tires till replacement time, then I'll get a more economical set.
