Guess I should pay more attention...

Bought new Premium GT w/ Track Pak in May of 2013. 20K miles later, finally looked under trunk floor...no spare tire, eh?

Then again, bought a new 2005 Saturn Ion 10 years ago and bemoaned the lack of trunk button inside the car for two years until one day was fumbling around looking for something under dash, felt a button, pressed it and imagine my surprise when it opened the trunk...on the freeway.

Maybe I should peruse an Owners Manual every now and again.

Oops...

Hopefully you didn't learn that lesson when you had a flat tire.

Nope, finally just got around to really looking in/around trunk.

On the other hand, got into the Track Apps, Sport Mode on the way home from dealer so I'm not a total moron...just a procrastinating one.

My 2011 v6 didn't have one also. A spare tire wasn't offered as an option when i ordered it. I ordered a spare tire, lug wrench and jack for a 2010 GT.

Road Side Assistance. I've never had a blow out on the highway. Just slow leaks from picking up those damned screws that the road maintenance crews use. THere's supposed to be a funnel in there too. I need to add some techron to my next tank. So I guess I'll have to dig into it.

My best bud buys high end cars with lots of features which he can't figure out. I tell him to spend a night in the car and rtfm.

Yeah right! I have a tire with a 3/4" hole in it that I would gladly sell you. It is a real bonus too, only has about 800 miles on it.

I saw the funnel...what's it for? Yeah, I know...RTFM!

Edit: Never mind...funnel for capless gas fill if needed.

I have a TP car too, I bought the 18" spare tire that was made for the regular GTs. Worst case scenario, I can always put one of the rear Brembo wheels in the front and put the spare on the back if I get a flat. I don't feel comfortable driving around NYC without a spare, I have bent a rim once on a bad pothole.

I tore the sidewall of one of my Pirellis through..err...driver error. Got some new rims and tires (Pirellis were wearing FAST), took 1 of the 3 good stock rims and tires I had left and threw it in the trunk. It sits about 1.5" higher than the spare well, but I like having a full size for long hauls, and she's my DD.

What size tire do you have on the spare brembo wheel to get it to fit in the spare wheel well?

Tire shop was not really setup for custom wheels and did a number on the wheel. But hey, I was happy to be back on the road and heading home.

Did end up buying a new tire and wheel.

I 'think' in the 'small print' about road side assistance it says something about "Must Have A Serviceable Spare". Just saying.......
