GT vs SS vs SRT8?
That being said, you'll be lucky to find a base SS for 35-37k MSRP. And that's providing there isn't any ADM markups, otherwise expect another 5-10k on top of that.
By the time it's all said and done, a fully loaded SS will more than likely cost you between 42-48k !

You're right Jason, that is approaching C6 territory. Guess I got just a bit carried away, but I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised, if Chevy marks up the 2010 SS close to 38k for a fully loaded coupe.

Prices of the Mustang have increased every year since 05'. I was at a dealership this past Friday and I didn't see a single GT for under $30,000. I'm talking cars with leather, IUP and some with 18's..no navigation or mach 1000. I assume a stripped GT may tuck in just under that, but for most people who buy well optioned GTs should expect to pay about 30k, heck a loaded GT drop top is in at $40,000! I do agree that the Camaro will be priced higher, but pricing a GT at under $30,000 isn't true in most cases.
My main argument is that there is no way the SS will come in under $30,000 at MSRP. From what I understand the Chevy was the priciest platform to develop and even the R/T Challenger bases at $30,000. My guess is that a stripped SS will come in at $33,000 the R/T at $30,000 and the new Mustang base GT will slot in at $28,000..........of course options could add several thousand to any of these rides......... I bet the real bargain in the spring of 10' will be picking up a low mile 07-09 GT500! Thats what i'm planning on!

According to GM, other than the V-6 LT and LS models along with the SS. There isn't going to be a Z-28 available. However if the SS begins in the mid 30k range MSRP. I would then assume the Vette would definitely climb the latter by a couple of K, as a direct result.

38K for a Camaro is a bit steep IMO. Hopefully, GM learned their mistakes with the GTO and will price it fairly competitive to the Mustang.
I'm sorry I should have been more clear. I mean in terms of performance. The base V8 cars are slotted to have cylinder shutoff, 14' brembos, standard 18' wheels (optional 19') the obviously talked about IRS...... I am surprised that the Camaro won't offer a navigation system.

As far as the Z28 goes from what I have heard from both the internet and GM friends is that it has been postponed and not canceled. I'm guessing Chevy will have either a supercharged 6.2 or even the current Z06's 7.0. Either way GM's top Camaro will eventually should have anywhere between 500-600HP....just my .02

As for that pic of the 3 modern muscle cars, it looks cool, but I won't be satisfied until the 2010 is there.
1.) GT500
2.) Camaro SS
3.) Challenger SRT
4.) Mustang GT
5.) Challenger RT
6.) Camaro V6
7.) Mustang V6
8.) Challenger V6
Who would even want a Challenger without a Hemi?

Personally, I'd chose the Vette. I don't ever use the rear seats on my Mustang and as long as the trunk holds a set of golf clubs, I am happy.

This leads me to believe, the Camaro SS will have an MSRP somewhere in the mid 30k range. However if GM decides to become greedy, and add ADM markups. I'd wouldn't be in the least bit surprised to expect close to 38k, for a fully loaded model.
