Grille Work/Replacement Ideas?

Llooking for suggestions on what to do for my grille. My stock V6 grille is boring and right now, I used a dark chrome kit to try to darken it down from the bright chrome but without proper finishing, it's starting to chip off and not look very good. I have a SGM car and I'm looking for the more 'sinister' look. Should I go with some sort of billet grille with a grille emblem on it or pull the stock grille and paint the chrome trim a matte black? I've also toyed with a fog light grille but with fog light deletes and just halo LEDs in them but I don't like the aura of 'impersonating' a GT that I don't have. I just think the stock V6 grille is lack luster. Thanks in advance for advice or suggestions!

Agreed! Pics! I think the CS grilles look nice because they're the billet style with a badge on it and it looks dark and clean. Don't want anything too bright or flashy up there. How much did you get them off of e-bay for? Might have to look into that. Starting to consider looking at certain parts used. Things like a CAI seem to be something safe to buy second hand and save some dough. I can't imagine a CAI getting too beat up other than the sensor plugs.

I don't have pics but here is where I got it from. There are pics here

$400 is a lot of money but if you compare that to $375 American Muscle charges for just the upper grill you can see it's a great price.

Before I changed out the grill I watched this video to see how to remove the front bumper cover to get to the grills.

There are no instructions on how to remove or install the new grills but it's easy to figure out.

I've pulled the bumper before and it's not too hard. That video definitely helps. It's terrifying the first time you're pulling on the edges of it to pop it loose! Always afraid of breaking tabs. Once I decide what I actually want to do, install shouldn't be too bad, it's just making the decision

15mins and my bumper is off. A powertool helps speed up the process.

I had intended to do these on mine, but the wife likes retro the round fog lights in the grille. I might do the boss grille as kind of a compromise.

I have the American muscle billet in black. I left the fog lights behind it.
