A lot of different factors go into the rate that we pay for insurance so all the people comparing their rates here is pointless.

Some Factors

1-Age
2-Driving record
3-Where you live
4-Which Mustang (v6 or V8)
5-Male or Female

My wife and I were paying $3000/year for insurance for 4 cars (2 new). My 18 year old daughter got her license and it went up to $6000. Then my 16 year daughter got her license and they wanted over $7000/year (Hanover Insurance). So I shopped around and got the same or better coverage for $3500/year from Safeco. We live in NYS and my wife has a ticket and a deer accident..

P.S. What I think is really cool is I traded my 2010 Mustang GT for the 2013 GT and my insurance only went up $16/year!

That's what happened to me when I traded the 2005 Toyota matrix base model up to the 2013 mustang premium vert - my insurance will be up like $18/ year. Sometimes there is not trying to make sense out of these things.

Nope! 35, married, multi-car, home owners, no tickets or wrecks.

I sorry to see your car got smashed and I would be sick to the stomach had this happened to me. I would suggest asking your friends and co-workers do any of them have any auto body experience and perhaps you can get some help on a do it yourself job. I have Geico also and I pay 1600 a year but I'm 52 ( I was 50 when I got the car and license)and I can't remember the last time I had a stateside license. I had to pay a little more because the ink on my new licence was still wet and I didn't have any good driver courses. Nevertheless, $350 a month is a bit much, you might want to shop around for a better deal.

$350.00 a month for full coverage? You either have DUI's on your record, or your not being completely honest with your driving record. Wow. That's $4200.00 a year!!!

Sorry about the fender bender, but this is the risk one takes for lack of coverage. If it makes you feel any better, most drivers with full coverage have a large deductable ($500.00 to $1000.00) that they have to pay out of pocket before the insurance kicks in.

Yes, but the location still has a major affect. Boston is not too kind to my insurance rates now... even with a perfect record, no tickets and combined with other USAA products (home, renters, invest property, floater policies).

Increased 300% when moving from quiet town in Rhode Island to within Boston city limits.

Got it fixed today $800 total. The mechanic, heated up the bumper and realigned everything. The bottom black piece had to be molded back together. The red bumper looks close to perfect, the bottom black bumper has scratches and minor marks. I bought the Raxiom tail lights on american muscle for $200. The rear sonar sensor is still broken. Can I buy just 1 rear sonar sensor or do I have to get all 4 of them. Only 1 is broken.

Glad you got it fixed. Next time, LOOK! And use your mirrors, and actually crane your neck to look at obstacles. How can your dad's car "suddenly pull in" when it was "parked" in the driveway?????

You remind me of my wife driving. She's had 3 fender benders now.....

You know Ford, you probably have to buy the whole bumper cover to get the sensors.

come on man even for me being 20 my insurance is(gonna be) 195 a month for full cover for a brand new stang. It would be lower if both my mom and dad didn't have wrecks and speeding tickets on their record but can't beat having no house payments and having complete freedom lol, i'll be out in a few months though. Ah I digress, but yeah if you're such a big baller paying the car off cash, use that brain and wallet to get full cover.

I'll echo those who have praised USAA. Couldn't be happier with my rates or coverage. It's a shame there aren't other industries that have companies that cater specifically to military vets. I laugh at the myriad of insurance commercials telling me I'll save hundreds.

Good luck with the fix and rear sensor.

Something must be wrong. I'm 24 male and have full coverage on my '13 5.0 for 130/month through geico. That is with $1000 deductibles. I also have one ticket on my record.

My dad's car pulls in and parks behind me while I'm backing up. It was my fault though should've looked back. Just kind of hard when you're backing out of a very narrow driveway. I don't know why my insurance is so high, i don't have much of a credit history, i live in NYC most populated city, I made a turn once on a yellow light and the cop said I ran the red. That's about it. No DUI's, No accidents in which I hit another car or another car hit me. Had my license since 17.

It's probably NYC why your ins is so high. I live in a fairly rural area.
