The Good, The bad and The Ugly...
The Good:
Another great track day at Auto Club Speedway.
The Bad:
The A/C broke today and 100+ degrees here in southern California. Heard a squealing noise just before the A/C started to blowing hot air. Dropping the car off at the dealer tomorrow.
The Ugly:
After 21,600 miles, two track days, and daily driving the Pirelli's are just plan ugly. But, they were great tires. Getting some Hankook's this week.
The good always outweighs the bad with this car.

I'm sure the A/C clutch or compressor is covered in this case, as I've never heard of anyone being denied a claim of this sort due to "speed". Besides, these engines are governed to a maximum top speed anyhow, so in theory, all parts should be covered up to this speed, right? Now if a tune was installed to change the cars top speed, that could be an issue. I'd assume that if this car was on the track, the A/C was off, so the A/C clutch was free spinning anyhow.

My car is at the dealer as of this morning. I will post the diagnosis when I hear back from the dealer.

Got my car back today. The A/C compressor failed. The service notes indicate "clutch and pulley melted together". I got glimpse of the service invoice that showed what the total cost could been and it was $1,200+. A/C works great again. Next stop is to get the Hankook tires installed tomorrow.
