I don't care for the panoramic glass roof at all. Give me the hard top.
Same goes for sun roofs/moon roofs. On a daily driver, sure, but on my modern day muscle car,....no thanks.

Have you sat in or driven one with the Glass Roof? I said the same thing until I sat in one. Now I'll never buy another car without it. I actually don't care for the regular sunroofs. I prefer the non opening style like mine.

I was in my friend's Ford Escape, (actually it was his wife's car), with panoramic glass roof a couple of times. Not for me.
I notice a lot of people shopping for the '13/'14 Shelbys are looking for that option.

Glad I didn't pick that option...walked away with a couple busted ribs out of this and I felt the steel roof kiss the right side of my head when I l landed the rollover. I think with a glass/plastic roof I'd be minus a head.

There was a picture awhile back of where a very large tree fell on a glass top and it faired way better than 5LHO's. It was in the guys driveway. He stated he was surprised how well it held up. Maybe the extra reinforcement areas made a difference.

Here is what he said.
Both the adjuster and the salvage guy told me the roof would have been crushed much worse without the extra strength that is added on the cars with glass tops. I'm in no position to argue with them. I was in the car when the tree came down.

Here's what punched the roof in, from the other side...wonder what that would have done to the plastic?
The rollover effects were after the pass side hit the alder, as that is what flipped it.
Agreed, who knows what would have fared better but, sliding upside down on pavement did in the front glass and might have machined through any remaining plastic as well but, meh, main thing is I walked away with only two busted ribs.
