The new blower doesn't change the warranty? for 05-10 the 400hp non intercooled whipple from ford reduced the warranty to 12 months and 12k miles and thats only if its installed on a new car, and the 550hp intercooled kit completely voids it.

I said the FRPP warranty takes the place of the factory warranty.
So the terms of the FRPP warranty (which for this blower setup hasnt been announced yet) will superceed the original warranty

Not a bad decision, that's what I'd consider too.
But the FRPP version does offer a warranty so unless ultimate power is the goal, it might be worth having 20-30 less hp to have a warranty.
And 520-530 hp in a 3600 lbs car would be quite fast anyway.
Lastly I wonder if one could just get the FRPP version at (what I suspect will be 5 psi) and then change the pulley to a smaller diameter one to get more power, and if warranty work is needed go back to the 5 psi pulley.

525 HP, 470 TQ
12/12 warranty with the base blower, not much confidence in it's durability on Ford's part. Roush offered a 36/36 warranty on theirs for the 2010.
Price, $7199 for the black, $7799 polished.

Looks like it all has been announced, or maybe just to MM&FF...

What was the warranty on the FRPP non-intercooled kit? Was it 3 years / 36,000 miles? Besides, who knows this engine better than Ford? I'm interested to see what Roush, Saleen, et al come up with in terms of warranty on their respective 5.0L FI offerings.
Wait--you guys drove the #46 car there on the street? I see license plates on the tow hook
