Ford hood scoop on the GT/CS

Just got this done yesterday. Real pleased with the color match and the look. Had the local Ford dealer do the paint and mount.

Looks good. Any idea if they had to drill holes and how hard the install was?

I'm debating whether to buy the hood scoop and side scoops seperate so that I can get the rear view camera -- the accessory pkg with the scoops comes with the pedestal spoiler which nixxes the camera.

The side scoops are tape on. The hood scoop uses 5 bolts.

The hood scoop came with a pattern for drilling. Took Ford a bit less than 2 hours total.

get the cam and add the accessories after the fact. It's wayyyyy cheaper/easier to add the stick on accessories than the spoiler with the back up cam later...

I know, I'm just a little paranoid about them drilling the hood.

Then don't let "them" do it - do it yourself. Measure twice, drill once, so to speak. I installed a Roush hood scoop on a friend's 06 Mustang a couple years ago and we took our time and it came out perfect.

I have done several different scoops in the past. With my back like it is right now, I felt better having someone else doing it. In reality, there is no big secret to doing one. The patterns are real hard to get wrong. The instructions are simple. The only thing is when you use the 3M tape, make sure it is where you want it when you put it on.

Thanks for the compliments.....

I think your hood scoop looks great. It is one of the things i would like to do if/when i get a new mustang. I also want to stripe it---I just like the old school muscle look.
